"Truth or dare," said Tansy as they crossed the common intersection safely without being ambushed by tomatoes this time. But the road still had some stains from the tomatoes incident.
"Umm! Truth," said Emrys.
"Have you ever written a special song about a certain somebody?" Tansy said as she raised her eyebrows to emphasize on what she was trying to get to.
"I've listened to your songs and I must say they're absolutely brilliant," said Tansy as she lifted her right hand from her bike handle to wave her hand in the air for a few seconds.
"I'm one of your fans and listen to your songs so when you're right in front of me now, I just had to ask," Tansy said shrugging her shoulders.
"Yes and no," answered Emrys truthfully.
"Most of my songs, they're not written by me. I have other songwriters to do that job for me. But there are only a few out of many which I have written by myself without having a particular someone in mind. The love songs that I sing are from the songwriters who had initially written the song for me, thinking of their special person in mind when they wrote their song."
"Sure!" said Tansy.
"Romantic and sometimes heartbreaking also," Tansy said truthfully.
"You had said earlier before to Mrs. Peterson about coming down here to find peace and solace to write a song yourself," Tansy said carefully.
"I don't mean to sound rather intrusive but I'm just curious about your new song."
"I read something about you in the news today. How your parents had allowed you to go on this road trip because you had promised to come back with another super hit song."
"Written and composed solely by yourself," Tansy said carefully.
"So is what they've been saying true?" asked Tansy.
"Yeah!" replied Emrys as he smiled at her.
"But truth be told, I havent even started anything. I try to write down some words for my new song, try playing the guitar to find some new tunes but I always find myself returning to square one."
"I don't know if 28 days, the time I've been given is enough or not for me to complete my song."
"I suggest you hold a dictionary wherever you go then Emrys," said Tansy laughing out loud.
"Hey!" said Emrys laughing himself also.
"You're the one always carrying a book wherever you go. Isn't that the book from the pier yesterday?" said Emrys pointing to her book.
Tansy glared at him playfully and slapped him hard on his back.
Emrys cried out in pain, "Ow! Sorry!" as he steadied his bike.
'I am suggesting you such a fine idea to help you write your song and you're making fun of me like Mr. Brat Face!" Tansy said out loud.
Tansy started laughing again and parked her bike near the stairs of the pier and made a run to reach the pier first.
"Hey! Wait up!" yelled Emrys in frustration as he quickly threw his bike at the bottom of the stairs and chased after Tansy.
"You're going to call me Mrs. Nerdy Mr. Emrys King?" yelled Tansy as she jogged her way to the end of the pier.
"Who's Mr. Brat Face?" yelled Emrys chasing after her.
Emrys stopped running and came to a halt. He then cupped his hands to shout out loudly, "I hope it's not me!"
