Elan Wynton

She was sitting at one of the corners of my grandmas café and reading a book. This time she had no laptop with her so she probably wasn't doing any pending assignments. I went up to as I served her order and said awkwardly, "Hey!"

"I hope you remember me from last time," I said chuckling a little.

"Oh! Yes I do!" said Amica trying to smile as wide as she could.

"Nice to see you again," said Amica trying to appear delighted.

She watched from the windows as his girlfriend called Greta made her way into the café and greeted his grandma.

Greta walked up to them, grabbing Elan from behind and said, "Good afternoon. You've forgotten about your best friend over here or what?"

"No I haven't," said Elan removing Greta's hands from his shoulders.

Elan watched as Amica had returned to reading her book and left quietly since he didn't know what to do next.

Amica Khalil

"Elan Wynton," thought Amica as she made her way into his café.

She ordered a latte as usual and sat down in one of the corners of the café.

She opened her laptop to finish some last assignments she had to submit before winter break would officially start.

She looked up to see another waiter deliver her coffee and not Elan as usual.

She carefully scanned the café as she watched for Elan.

She couldn't find him and went back to completing her assignments.

She had just finished her coffee and was putting her laptop in her bag, when she saw someone come up to her from her peripheral vision and greet her.

"Hey!" said Elan raising his eyebrows, hands in his jeans pocket.

Amica watched him closely and looked behind him to find Greta making her way inside the café as she opened the door.

Amica quickly zipped her laptop bag, adjusted it over her shoulders and hurriedly picked up her files.

"Hey to you too!" said Amica as she passed Elan to go to the cash counter and pay her bill.

She saw Elan giving her a weird look but she walked out the café door, not looking back even once thinking that all men were jerks.
