Draco and I sat in our own blood for some time unable to move. However, both me a Draco were veterans in getting punched down. I clutched Draco's hand and he grasped back. Our fingers interlocked. Draco had much worse injuries then I did. I was unable to move my legs but he was unable to move his whole body. They had so badly kicked his chest that he struggled to breath. I hadn't a clue what to do. Nobody was around and we couldn't call for help. We had to lie here vulnerably, waiting for someone to find us.

I heard the tapping of footsteps echoing through the corridor. I hoped they would come this way. To my surprise, I was met with Pansy. As soon as I saw her I gently shook Draco.

"Relax Potter I'm not here to hurt you" she said. I reluctantly let her look at Draco.

"What took you so long?" Draco spluttered.

"Well it took me a while to get out of Crabbe where you actually were, without raising suspicion" she sighed.

"Tell me how bad it is" Draco murmured.

"I'm not going to lie, it's pretty bad" she said inhaling.

"Wait here, I'm going to get someone" she whispered and walked off.

"It's not like I'm in a position to walk away" Draco said smiling. I could see the pain filling his eyes and pouring down his face. I gave him a weak smile. Snape came prowling down the corridor with Pansy following behind.

"Snape?" Draco and I said in unison.

"Ahh Mr Potter and Mr Malfoy it seems you are in need of my assistance" Snape growled. I looked at Snape in disbelief and struggled to not talk back.

"Yes professor" Draco said.

"Pansy you take Potter" he spat when he said my name.

"And I will take Draco." Pansy helped me stand, with a little magic and holding me up from under my armpit. Snape just had to pick Draco up as he was so injured.

We made it to Snape's office. It was a dingy room with no windows and black walls. Stacks of defence against the dark arts books were cluttered among potions books. Pansy helped me sit on a dark oak chair in front of snape's desk. He had to lie Draco on top of his desk as he couldn't sit him down comfortably. Snape stood in the corner of the room peering at us.

"I see you boys didn't feel the need to attend my lesson today" Snape murmured. Draco was completely silent and I feared that Snape wasn't looking for an explanation so I didn't speak. I couldn't believe that us skipping his lesson was the main priority right now. Snape came closer to me and said, "even the boy who lived still needs to learn potions." He scowled at me, but then looked at my eyes and took a step back.

"Who did this to you?" Snape demanded gesturing towards my legs. I hesitated before saying,

"Crabbe and Goyle." Snape thought for a moment before saying,

"You must not tell anyone of this encounter, both Crabbe and Goyle are influential pure bloods." I was stunned. They were going to get away with this. I couldn't believe it.

"So I ask you again Potter, who did this to you?" He said in a stern tone.

"Crabbe and Goyle sir" I said without looking at him. He took a deep breath in.

"Who. Did. This. To. You?" He grunted through gritted teeth.

"It was a quidditch accident" I said quietly yet still with a copious amount of anger.

"We need to go to Madam Pomfrey" I said. Snape looked Draco up and down, I gave him a pleading look.

"Yes I suppose you do" he growled.
