After some general silliness and a bit too much drinking, everyone woke with regret. I avoided drinking, though I can't promise I remained completely sober.
The match took place in the morning, ending before lunch. Despite the rest of Hogwarts having lessons, we managed to find a disused room in a disused tower. The afternoon started off tame, with Wood even hoping to discuss some tactics. Once the first match had been played the quidditch ground was closed, as to prevent any unfairness regarding the amount of training each team got before a match.
Draco and my other friends had to attend lessons, though I'm told they weren't especially packed with revision and learning. After all, the professors were just as excited as we were.
They joined us in the evening, and at this point, I'd like to add, everyone was coherent. It wasn't until Flint brought us more bottles of fire whiskey than I even though possible.
It was then that everything went south.
We were blessed with a couple of songs from the greatest Hogwarts singing duo: Fred and George.
Chambers treated us with a spell he swore he had perfected, one that was meant to allow him to breath blue fire. It instead made his vomit an alarming cyan.
Someone suggested truth or dare, which ended in many secrets being spilt. From facts as tame as first words to secret crushes. Although I doubt anyone else will be able to remember the scandal discussed.
Around midnight Hermione and Ginny checked out, Hermione had to half drag half support Ron back to his dorm.
Pansy just sat in the corner chain-smoking with a slightly tipsy Cedric, who had to remind her multiple times not only what his name was, but also that he didn't smoke. Every time he reminded Pansy of this she laughed and said she'd have his one for him.
At one in the morning, Pansy got her make up and started to do eyeliner on all of the boys. Draco did his own, without any magic. Everyone was impressed.
"You girls better watch out, because I'm gonna steal all of your men" I remember him saying. This comment was even funnier when you remember at this point the only girl was Pansy and she, in fact, didn't have, and will never have a man.
All of this make up provoked Cedric to reveal to us his pained toenails, which were an alternating pink and blue arrangement.
The last thing I remember before passing out is Flint begging Cedric to do his.
I was woken by a gentle foot in the stomach.
It was Wood.
"Harry, get up" he whispered.
I opened my eyes and rubbed my neck, which was aching from sleeping on the floor two nights in a row.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Help" he replied.
I sat up and looked around the room.
It was a mess. There was glass everywhere and cigarette butts that Pansy had nicely put into a little pile. What was most alarming was the number of hungover people thrown across the floor.
"What happened there?" I said pointing to a sleeping Flint. His trousers were ripped and his top was in tattered pieces around him.
"He was showing us his werewolf impression" Wood sighed.
"What's the time?" I asked looking around the room some more. Cedric had fallen asleep with his hands in Pansy's hair and upon closer inspection, he had in fact braided her entire head.
