"Draco and I went to lunch early. We both sat at the Gryffindor table. Nobody else was there and the house-elves were still bringing in the food. I had my hands rested on the table.
"I think I'm going to do it" I muttered.
Draco's talk under the tree motivated me. I felt just a little bit more comfortable.
"Really?!" Draco asked. I nodded. Draco grasped my hands.
"I'm so proud of you Harry" he said with a sense of fulfilment.
"Not the whole school, we would still need to be secretive, just Ron and Hermione," I confirmed.
"That's absolutely fine, we'll do everything when you're ready" Draco said smiling at me.
We could hear people approaching the hall. Draco stood up and gave me a quick kiss before rushing over to the Slytherin table. I turned to look at him and he gave me a small smile.
"Harry you weren't in potions!" Hermione said sitting down.
"Yeah mate next time bunk off with me" Ron chuckled. Hermione hit him with a book and scowled at him.
"Harry, where were you?" She asked.
"I just had some time to myself" I said.
Ron and Hermione both looked at me suspiciously.
"Alright, Harry" Hermione said slowly. Ron gobbled on a sandwich. We sat and talked until lunch was nearly over. We were walking back to the Gryffindor common room to grab our books for the afternoon. I wondered if I should just tell them now, in the corridor, but then I decided to do it in Gryfinndor so if they freaked out it would be less public.
We walked through the oak door and I took a deep breath. Everyone else was still at lunch so the common room was empty. I was biting the insides of my cheeks. I gulped and took a step forward.
"Uhh" I began, Ron and Hermione turned to look at me.
"You know that thing about me being a little weird lately?" I said. Ron and Hermione just nodded. I was silent for a moment before I said,
"It's because of someone I like."
"Ginny?" Hermione asked.
"No, not Ginny" I said as I started to shake. I breathed out and said, .
"It's a not a girl" I said mumbling but they both heard me quite clearly. Neither of their facial expressions changed. Ron thought and said,
"Is it me?"
"No!.....you?" I chuckled.
"Well, I don't know I had to say something" Ron laughed back. Hermione still stood silent, annoyed she couldn't solve the puzzle.
"Is it that guy you've been sneaking off to see?" Hermione finally chirped. I nodded.
"What's his name?" She asked.
"Draco," I said. The two stood glued to the floor. They stayed like that for a moment before Ron started to nod and say
"Alright, okay, Draco Malfoy." He was taking deep breathes.
"Well he's a handsome guy" Hermione said.
"Hey!" Ron said getting offended.
"Not as handsome as you, of course, Ronald" Hermione said back.
Ron looked at me and said,
"What am I supposed to say?"
I laughed, "I don't know."
