After we had all finished the meal everyone went off to do their own thing. Draco and Ron went to resume the card game.

"I'll be there in a minute" I said. Ron and Draco looked confused but they played without me.

I walked down the landing which was in no way straight. Different types of wood showed where the Weasley's had added extra rooms for their ever expanding family. I walked to Ginny's room and knocked on the door.

"Come in" she said. The door creaked as I wondered in. Ginny was sitting cross legged on her bed with the contents of the letter scattered around her. It was about 4 pages long.

Ginny rubbed her eyes and then smiled, trying to cover up the fact that she had been crying. I decided not to address it.

"What's up" I said sitting opposite her on the bed.

"Nothing" she said quickly.

"Would you like me to leave you alone?" I asked sympathetically. She shook her head.

We remained silent for a few moments, it wasn't awkward or forced. It was comfortable. Ginny took a deep breath before saying,

"When did you know you liked Draco?" I thought about it for a moment and said,

"the first time he kissed me, I didn't know it then but looking back that's when it first popped up into my head."

"Right" Ginny replied.

"These things take time, to discover who you are and becoming comfortable with that" I said trying to remain vague. She looked up at me,

"how do you deal with it, all of the comments at school, the whispers, all of it" she said twiddling her fingers.

"If I had to do it alone it would be horrid, but I don't I have Draco, Ron and Hermione. It doesn't matter to me what a few idiots say as long as I'm surrounded by people who love and support me. It's very easily to drown out those few negative voices" I said trying to be comforting.

Ginny nodded at looked down at the letters. As much as I wanted to I didn't glance down to read them, I respected Ginny's privacy. I thought for more useful and supportive things to say without assuming to much. I lent forward and put my hand on Ginny's knee.

"Whatever you are feeling right now will become clear, maybe not today or even this week, but trust me that it will." I said.

"Thank you Harry, you're a great friend" she said thankful for my advice.

I stood up and went to walk out the door,

"Harry wait" Ginny said. I spun around,

"Please don't tell anyone about this, especially Draco." She said pleadingly. I was confused about why Draco couldn't know but nonetheless I nodded and said,

"tell anyone about what?" She smiled and I walked out they door.

To be honest that conversation made me more confused instead of consolidating what I theorised. I knew that Pansy liked Ginny, I saw it in her eyes when she looked at her in the great hall. But I don't know if Ginny is gay or who the letter is from. And I don't know why I couldn't tell Draco, does he know about Pansy's crush on Ginny? All I knew was that Ginny was upset and I hope i did my best to console her.

I wondered back into Ron's room.

"You win again? How is that possible?" Ron said throwing his cards down.

"What can I say, I've got a good poker face" Draco said shrugging his shoulders.

"Alright Harry?" Ron said as he saw I had come back.

"Yeah I'm great thanks" I replied whilst sitting down.

"Where do you get to?" Draco asked.

"Oh I just went to the toilet" I said remembering my promise to Ginny.

"Can we play wizards chess now, it's the only game I have a chance of winning at" Ron said looking at me and Draco.

"Sure" I said shrugging my shoulders. Ron got up to get the pieces. Whilst he was searching for then Draco wrapped his arm around me,

"this is great" he whispered.

"Yeah I know" I replied. I, like Draco was eternally grateful for the warmth that the Weasley's show me. They are a family to me when I need one. Every single one of them is willing to offer me help and expect nothing in return.

Draco's home life must have been a big contrast to the Weasley's. I can't imagine Mr Malfoy joking about rubber ducks with a guest.

"You know what I like about the Weasley's that they love each other, and they show it" Draco said and he was right. Molly hugged all of her children and Arthur tells them he loves them for completely random things. I too was taken aback by the outward show of affection. It wasn't over the top, but it was just there. The Dursley's showed me no love or even just kindness, but even to themselves it was minimal.

I remember Dudley getting a handshake from his father if I did something well but nothing more than that. Mr and Mrs Dursley didn't even kiss each other on the mouth. The entire family seemed fake. I imagine the same scene was mirrored in the Malfoy home. It was nice to be surrounded by happy people but it made it more difficult to go back.

Ron finally found all of the pieces that he needed and sat down opposite me and Draco. We each took it in turns to play each other but like poker Draco won every game.

"How are you so good at everything?" Ron Asked slightly frustrated.

"I don't have any brothers or sisters and there wasn't a lot to do at home so all I could do was play board games with myself" Draco said smiling. He and Ron chuckled at his comment but it made me a little sad. I couldn't help but think of Draco alone sitting by himself for hours on end.

"You'll always have someone to play with now" I said hugging Draco's arm.
