Eventually, I drifted to sleep in Draco's arms.
When I woke I tapped the space next to me to find he wasn't there. I opened my eyes, the sheets were no longer surrounding me. Ron was still fast asleep. I got up and walked past him.
I walked into the bathroom, Draco was standing at the sink with a towel wrapped around his waist. He was gelling his platinum blond hair in the mirror. He saw me and spun around. His arms quickly covered his torso, he opened his mouth in an effort to look shocked.
"Uhh Mr Potter what are you doing?" He said, a smile creeped across his face.
I decided to continue with the joke and said,
"I'm so sorry Mr Malfoy I didn't mean to walk on you with only a towel covering you." As I said this I took a step forward.
"I'm so embarrassed" Draco said, unable to contain his smile now.
"I wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable" I said placing my hands on Draco's waist. We were interrupted by a banging on the door.
"HURRY UP I WANT A SHOWER!" I couldn't work out which Weasley it was. I took my hands off of Draco and walked to unlock the door. They pushed it open and Percy was revealed standing in the door way. His face immediately went red to match the colour of his hair.
"Eh eh ugh... I'm sorry" he stuttered.
I walked past him and Draco followed after,
"no worries Percy" Draco said patting him on the back. Percy quietly closed the door behind us. As soon as we were alone we burst into a fit of silent laughter. We staggered back to Ron's room and tried to compose ourselves.
"What was that racket?" Ron Asked rubbing his eyes.
"Your brother" Draco said pulling on a emerald green t shirt.
"Which one?" Ron Asked sitting up.
"Percy" I replied.
"ugh he's been so agro recently" Ron said standing up and walking towards his wardrobe.
I wasn't sure what to say as I didn't know Percy that well so I just gave an awkward half smile. Like the kind you give someone when you pass them in the street but you don't know them enough to wave.
"We should practice some quidditch today" Draco said breaking the silence.
"Yeah definitely" I replied. I enjoyed playing quidditch, my first time in a broom was life changing.
As both Draco and Ron were pure bloods they grew up around that sort of stuff, but as someone who had no knowledge of the magic world until that day Hagrid broke down that door, Flying gave me that same childish glee even as a teenager.
"I'll ask Fred and George to get the brooms out" Ron said pulling on a kitted jumper with a large 'R' in the middle.
We all walked downstairs together. I was met with the smell of freshly cooked breakfast. Plates of bacon, eggs, toast and sausages were floating from the kitchen and placing themselves neatly on the table. All three of us sat down. Fred and George jumped down the stairs and ran to get the seat with a cushion. George was unsuccessful and sat next to his twin defeated.
"We wanna get the brooms out and practice some flying" Ron said looking at his brothers,
"Alright" the twins said in unison. Arthur came down the stairs reading a muggle newspaper,
"fascinating" he said under his breath. Molly came from the kitchen and sat down next to her husband.
"What's this darling?" She said gesturing towards the newspaper,
"I'm not completely sure but I think it's a muggle newspaper" he replied still looking intently at the text and pictures that were not moving.
Ginny came down the stairs last. She down silently, this wasn't unusual for Ginny so nobody made any comment. Fred and George were the first to grab the bacon.
"Hey!" Ron said.
"Calm down boys, there's enough for everyone" molly said.
"These muggles care about the the strangest things, what's the housing market Harry?" Arthur asked curiously. I wasn't really sure how to respond,
"Umm it's like when the price of houses go up and down I guess" I said trying to not make the matter even more confusing.
"Absolutely amazing" Arthur said.
"Harry doesn't want to have to explain all this muggle stuff to you, do you Harry?" Molly said looking at me.
"I don't mind" I said not trying to take anyone's side. Mr Weasley winked at me. Ron, Fred, Draco and George got up,
"you coming Harry?" the twins said in unison.
"Yeah in a moment I've got something to do first" I said. Draco was the only one to look confused, the others just rushed off to get the best brooms. Ginny stood up and we walked up the stairs together.
"Thank you for helping me" Ginny whispered.
"It's not a problem" I replied. We reached Ginny's room, she sat at her desk and I sat cross legged on her bed. She picked up a quill and dipped it in the pot of ink. She turned to me and said,
"what do I say?" I dictated what I thought she should say and she offered her input. When we had finished Ginny gave me the letter to read over.
Dear Pansy,
I hope this letter reaches you well. I am flattered by your kind words. I am greatly sorry that the feelings are not reciprocated. I think that you are a wonderful and compassionate person who will find someone who will make you eternally happy, however this person isn't me. I don't feel the same way about you, not because of any flaws you think you may have, but because I don't have that spark. I hope you will remain kind to me and we can continue to build a friendship.
From Ginny.
"I think it's perfect" I said passing the letter back to her.
"Do you think it's super clear? I don't want to play with her feelings" Ginny said reading the letter once more.
"Stop stressing, trust me it's fine" I said reassuringly. Ginny placed the letter in an envelope. I opened the window, an owl swooped down and perched on the windowsill.
Ginny placed the letter in the birds beak and it flapped away.
