Everyone wandered off and did their own thing until it was just me a Draco sitting alone.
I was laying on his chest,
Feeling it rise up and down.
"You don't mind about the kiss?" I enquired gently.
"I don't blame you if that's what your asking" he replied.
He ran his fingers through my hair.
"That's very mature of you" I replied, as I drifted into a trance.
"You forget, I'm a very mature person" he whispered.
We sat there together, for a few moments.
I glanced at the large greyed bricks of the fireplace. Every stone holding up this school, this haven, this home, was history. These bricks have seen more than him and I will ever see. More triumphs, more defeats, more wizards.
When I look at these bricks I feel connected, to every other wizard or witch who has had the time to stop and marvel in this castle's colossal greatness and depth.
My father, my mother, Sirius, Remus, McGonagall, Dumbledore, even Voldemort.
We are all forever connected, these bricks outlive, the past and whatever is yet to come. My children will look at these bricks and so will their's.
But sitting here, as seemingly insignificant as it is, its a portal into both my history and what is yet to be written, and that is something of the most significance.
"What are you thinking about?" Draco asked.
"Oh, ah- nothing really," I said crashing back down to the present.
"I think your hair would look good platinum," he remarked, seemingly randomly.
"What?" I choked.
"I could do it you know, and I could change it back" he suggested.
"Not now, maybe later," I said not wanting to move from our position.
"I'll hold you to that potter," he said, I couldn't see his face but I knew he was pulling that cheeky grin of his.

"Sod it, let's do this," I said as I jumped up.
"Nice" Draco said excitedly.
He took my hand and guided me to the bathroom.
He grabbed an old stool and sat me down in front of the mirror.
He waved his wand and muttered a spell. The platinum colour first came from my roots and then travelled to the tips.
I turned my head from side to side.
I kind of liked it.
"You look great," Draco said in shock and awe.
"This is what our children will look like," I said starting to chuckle.
"It's kind of cool isn't it," he said marvelling at his work.
I ran my hand through my hair,
"You should think about being a hairdresser," I remarked.
"Mmm healer first then hairdresser on the side?" He said with a smile.
I wizzes around to face him.
"You want to be a healer?" I questioned.
"Yeah," he said scratching the back of his head, "what's wrong with that?" He asked.
