Disclaimer! I have no idea how to play mahjong. So if you see things written out inaccurate than I'm really sorry. I tried to look up how the games played but there's a lot of different versions on how to play it. So if anyone does know and would like to help me improve this chapter, feel free to comment so that I can fix this, since I don't want to offend anyone.

Enjoy.

The lady to my left, gave Mrs.Daoming a grand smile, handing her the dice to roll. Mrs.Daoming looked hesitant. But she still sat down on the wooden chair like us and rolled the dice.

12 the dices added up.

We all began to automatically move our green and white tiles. We moved them up as a wall that they were facing our own way. I looked down to mine as I took out a tile.

"My sister taught me how to play" I told her,"She told me if I were to master any game it should Mahjong because it would teach me important life skills." I glanced up at her before looking back down, organizing my tiles, taking one from the center,"Appreciation, strategy, and cooperation."

"You asked me to come here. I assume it's not for a mahjong lesson" when I put one of mahjong pieces to the center she said,"pong" already matching up one set of tiles,"My sister taught me how to play too" she admitted.

I didn't know she had a sister.

I sighed, looking down to my pieces,"You know a lot about my family. You were the one after all, to release most of my documents" I eyed her,"Why did you do all of that?"

Mrs.Daoming looked down to her tiles, taking out two, taking one in,"I have to admit, you are talented Kiara, you know fifteen languages, you have taken many classes and your fit, possibly more to be with Daoming Si then Xiaozi. But" she paused, releasing a sigh,"Your foreign to the idea of business and don't know it works. All people like you think about is your own happiness."

I frowned, upset by her words,"Don't you want Daoming Si to be happy?"

"It's a illusion. Happiness can only last for a period of time before something happens and the things around them changes" she said, meeting my eyes.

I clenched my jaw,"Because mothers know best? Is that your excuse?" my voice trembled towards the end. I sighed again, shaking my head,"You don't know me."

I looked down to my tiles. I had three sets matching. One more left.

"I know enough that your not what Daoming Si needs."

I bit my lower lip, not wanting to show her how much that actually hurt. I grabbed a piece from the center and held it in my hand,"Well Si proposed to me the other day."

I could see the fear and shock ness in her eyes,"He said he was done making excuses for you and would be willing to risk it for me" I said, releasing a humorless laugh I didn't intend to let out. I put the tiles I needed in front of me,"Don't worry..I turned him down. I thought about it and for a second I felt happy. But then I remembered I couldn't do that to him because if he chose me, he would lose the Daoming Group and his mother and if he chose you and the Daoming Group he would possibly spend the rest of his life resenting you."

She let out a shaky breath, something rare.

There was a silence between us. I looked away from her and grabbed my piece seeing that all my three sets were complete,"So you chose for him?"

I'm done with my tiles.

"I'm not leaving him because I'm scared" I told her sternly,"I'm leaving him because it's for our own good. I never had a good family to begin with. My Dad never cared about my well being. My Mother didn't either. My sister was the only one there for me but she left. I love Daoming Si, I don't wanna make have to make him lose his family."

She looked down, seeing as if she was trying to comprehend all this information.

I raised my chin up and had no piece left in my hand,"I may not be with Si anymore but that doesn't mean I'll ever stop caring for him. He deserves to have his freedom if he is at least at your side. That's all I ask for. He's sick, in his room barely eating, what are you gonna do if it gets worse?"

She had no answer.

I bit my lower lip, contemplating on what would be going on her mind. No matter what she was thinking and how curious I was, she needed to know this,"But I want you to know when he stands at the end of that aisle waiting for Xiaozi who is gonna be wearing the most beautiful gown ever, ready to be groomed off by him, you should remember that all of it happened because of me. A girl, who grew up in a rich family, struggled to live day by day yet survived because she knew that her life would reach to its most beautiful moments telling her that she did well in the end."

I then faced mine up showing that I had already won. I stood up and smiled kindly at the two ladies before giving Mrs.Daoming a small bow. I turned around to walk away for good this time.
