#13 - teen fiction [26/09/19]
Amara Hart is a teenage girl living with her abusive uncle. Her life was tragic, the only highlight being her friends and her librarian. When Justin Hazard came into the picture, her life changed drastically.

"I've never tried this drink before and surprisingly, it tastes amazing." I said as I held the purple and green drink in front of me. Justin smiled at me as he held a beer.
Yesterday, Leah offered that we can stay the night here so Justin could drink and not bother about driving later on.
Since we got here, Leah hasn't been around anywhere and I had a feeling that she wanted to make a grand entrance. I didn't blame her though, this was her birthday party after all and she deserved the attention. I can't wait for people's reaction to her dress. I'm sure Levi will basically piss his pants just by the mere sight of her.
Speaking of Levi, him and Nick joined us like ten minutes ago. Levi looked like he was loving being here, which was highly weird to spot out because we were all happy to be here. But I guess he looked like he was happy to see Leah and hopefully make the first move. Kate and I were basically crossing our fingers.
We had a few more drinks and just chatting about some random topics and laughing. Henry seemed so distant though and I could see a flash of sadness in Kate's eyes before she covered it with excitement. I was about to call her to the side when the music stopped and the DJ started talking on the mic. I realized the boy from school, I think he was one of the popular kids but I didn't pay attention to anyone. I'd seen him sometime conversing with one of my friends but I guess I was just never bothered to get to know any of them so well.
"How's everybody feeling tonight!?" He yelled and everyone downstairs cheered. "For those who don't know who I am yet, my name is Travis Carter and I'm the DJ for the night" People cheered once again, more especially girls and I'm guessing he loved the attention he got as he chuckled lightly into the mic.
"As everyone already knows, today we are here to celebrate the eighteenth birthday of our beloved girl, Leah Stevens!" People cheered once again and at the corner of my eye, I saw Levi scoff and I couldn't help but grin. "She's a good friend of mine and we all love her so much! So everyone, Give it the fuck up for our birthday girl, LEAH!!"
People went wild as Leah appeared on top of the staircase and started walking down. Kate was filming everything. Boys were hollering out at her and girls screaming in admiration. She definitely looked beautiful and really gorgeous. The dress suited her perfectly.

I smiled widely as I saw who she was locking eyes with. Levi basically looked like a love struck puppy and it was exciting to witness.
She waved at everyone and smiled at them. She was then handed a microphone. "Hey guys!" It amazed me how she was always so carefree. That's why people loved her. She was so selfless and really humble. She's like the nice popular girl and everyone loved and adored her.
"Thank you all for coming. I'm super excited for tonight because you only turn eighteen once you know. I consider myself truly blessed with the family I was born into. So everyone please show some love for my lovely parents, Daniel and Sara Stevens." Her parents walked next to her and waved at everyone. I adored her mother's outfit. This family was full of perfectionists and it amazed me just how much they were an altruistic wealthy family.
Her parents kissed her cheek and hugged her before returning to their seats. "My friends are another important part of my life because they stick with me through basically everything and guide me as well. I love my best friends so fucking much and I want to say a big thank you to them. Kate and Amara please join me on the stage."
Justin smiled at me briefly before I walked over side by side with Kate to Leah. I enveloped her in hug and told her happy birthday. Kate did the same before we waved at the crowd of people. I noticed many guys totally checking us out and I started feeling uncomfortable on the 'stage' . Justin definitely looked like he was about to murder someone with his bare hands and Henry, once again, didn't look bothered. He kept on staring at his phone and I felt my anger start to increase but I didn't show it. Kate and I went back to our seats and I kissed Justin's cheek.
"Babe, stop looking like you're about to pounce on someone."
"I couldn't help but notice all these guys checking out my girl."
I chuckled a little "But these guys have their dates here with them. And I've only got eyes for a certain bad boy."
He smiled at what I said before pecking my lips slowly. "Stop saying things like that baby. We are in public." His voice had a lustful ring to it.
I was about to say what's wrong with what said but Leah started talking again.
"And last but definitely not least, I'd like to say a big thank you to another close...person to me. Most of you don't know him, his name is Levi and he's seated over there next to Justin Hazard. I actually want eveyone to know that he's just been super incredible towards me plus he's really hot which is a total bonus! And...I guess I'm basically waiting for him to make the first move."
She placed the microphone down as people erupted in a loud cheer, glancing at Levi. Our friends hollered at him and occasionally messing his hair or patting him on the back. He looked so embarrassed right now and it was just the cutest thing ever.
The music started playing again as Leah made her way over to the couch that we were occupying. She sat next to Levi and the waiter handed her a birthday drink.
"Lovely speech Leah." Kate spoke as she brought her pointing finger and thumb to her lips and made a kissing sound. "Loved it"
The party went on for over two hours and it was absolutely incredible. After Leah cut her cake, everyone basically started drinking and getting drunk while dancing. Her parents left like an hour ago and I guess it was only teenagers left.
I loved being here because my best friend looked absolutely beautiful and overall happy, which is the most important part. She's been away talking to Levi for some time now, Kate and Henry started some make out session and I couldn't help but not like what I was seeing. Kate liked him so bad but he was not involved in their 'thing' with the same reasons that Kate is in for. She wants something positive to come out of it even though she won't admit it.
"Babe, do you want to dance with me?" Justin asked in my ear as Love Myself by Hailee Steinfeld started playing. I nodded as fast as I could as we made way to the middle of the dance floor and started dancing to the song. I was carefree, he looked so carefree and happy, his body flexing and moving in rhythm to the music. I chuckled at some of his dance moves and he did so to mine as well.
When the song ended, I fell in his arms still laughing yet admiring how comfortable and blithe we are towards each other.
I really love being with him because being with him is the best thing ever.
"You're hilarious" I breathed out as I finally stopped laughing.
He chuckled lightly before smiling "and you're beautiful."
I bit my lip and he smiled, "Come here"
He crashed our lips together and I was instantly lost in a world of frenzy and so much love overwhelming my little, fragile heart.
I was getting so engrossed in the kiss when suddenly Justin was pulled away from me and I opened my eyes to see what was happening. Justin's back was towards me, shielding the person that had rudely interrupted us. I was about to walk over to see just what was happening when I noticed his body tensing. I frowned immediately and walked next to him, my eyes widening at who was in front of us.
