The lake house didn't exactly hold many good memories for Elis, so she greatly despised that her parents decided to spend their summer back at the place in which her brother died three years prior.
Her solution was to lock herself up in her childhood bedroom for the duration of their twelve weeks stay, just so that she could avoid walking around the house filled with nothing but her brother's memories that three years of not coming back failed to erase.
