Carson

Anna gave me a nervous glance. "Do you even like Luke?"

"Yes? No. Maybe!" I say, exasperated, and running a hand through my hair.

"If you don't, I'll take him." Anna jokes, but I can't seem to laugh.

I can't even seem to smile.

"Do you want us to talk to him?" Sam asks in a gentle voice.

"No!" I yell making them jump, and try to calm myself down. I clear my throat.

"I mean, no. He can't know I feel like this."

Anna snorted. "So what? You guys banter all the time. It's not like anything will change."

I roll my eyes. "I knew you guys wouldn't get it."

"We do! I just don't fully understand. I can't fathom why you would act

like you hate him." Sam exclaimed.

"Whatever." I spat, and stormed off not quite sure why I was so angry.

It wasn't even their fault.

___

I hear a door slam, making me fall of my bed. No on is home except me, Sam, Anna, and

Calum.

"Luke!" I hear boy screech.

Ashton.

Now what did Luke do?

I race down the steps, and almost trip, but slide into the kitchen, only to see a dripping

wet Ashton.

A very angry, red faced Ashton.

"Ash?" I ask, surpressing giggles. "What happened?"

"Luke pushed me!"

"Are you alright?"

"No! He's such a d*ck!"

"Calm down."

"Stop trying to make this better Carson. This is your fault!" And he storms upstairs.

Tears prickle my eyes. Maybe he's right.

I cause problems everywhere I go. I make best-friends fight. I make people angry.

People would be better off without me.

And then I get the feeling again.

Feeling useless.

And with that, I grab my jacket and sprint out the door, not even looking back.
