Carson

I wake to someone yelling my name. My eyes snap open, and only then do I realize

I'm not outside anymore.

In fact, the room I'm in, which is my bedroom, is quite bright.

Letting out a small groan, I pushed myself up. I was in Luke's sweatshirt, which

was weird. I shrugged, and then got up, stretching.

And then I heard the yell again.

"Carson!" Luke cried, he was thrashing around. "Carson!"

I stared him, biting my lip. His hair wasn't in his usual quid, but across his forehead.

It was cute.

Wait, what did I just say?

He was still thrashing around, whimpering. Ashton was hanging off the edge

of the bed, softly snoring.

That was cute.

Okay, something's wrong with me.

I walked over to Luke, and gently shook him.

"Luke, it's okay. Wake up." I cooed.

Yep. Something is wrong with me.

His eyes snapped open, panicked. He relaxed as soon as he saw me.

I gave him a slight smile.

"Thank god he stopped." I heard Ashton grumble from beneath the covers.

I let out a small giggle. "Yeah. Now get your lazy asses out of bed."

A pillow was thrown at my head, but I dodged it.

After breakfast, I sat down on the couch with Luke. "Are you okay?"

He gave me a weird look. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"You seemed, upset this morning..."

He blushed. "Why are you being so nice?"

"Why can't I?" I snapped.

He smirked. "Do you even remember last night?"

"Most of it, yes."

"Do you know why you have my sweatshirt?" He snickered.

I glared at him. "Whenever I try to be nice, Luke, you always mess it up."

He opens his mouth, but decides against it.

And with that, I storm away, not sure why I'm so angry.

___

Ashton

I sit alone at the docks, swinging my legs as I sit in the edge.

I stare at my reflection, until I see Carson pop up behind me.

She looks so pretty today.

She's wearing maroon high waisted shorts, and a white T-shirt with white Keds.

Her hair is straight and falls down to the middle of her back.

Simple, but I like simple.

She sits down next to me, and gives me a grin.

"Hey." She says, and let's out a sigh.

"What's the matter?"

"Nothing. It's just...Luke being Luke."

I look at her with wide eyes. "He's not always like that."

She stares at me, like I'm crazy or something.

"Well, around me he is." She crosses her arms.

I drop my shoulders. "Sorry. I just want you to know he's not that bad."

"Whatever." She sighs. "I'm going inside."

And she leaves.

I sit alone, until I hear someone walk up again.

I glance up, but not before I feel someone's lips on mine.

My eyes pop open, and I see Carson's eyes shut.

I feel butterflies in my stomach, and even thought it sounds girly, it's true.

She breaks away. "Sorry. I wanted to to do that."

I smile at her, unable to say anything as she walks away.

I smile to myself, and then I see Luke standing behind me.

He stares at me with cold, tearfilled eyes.

"You promised." He cried. "You promised me!"
