Carson

Fear coursed through my body as my mom grabbed my shirt collar.

She lifted me up, my feet about 4 inches off the ground, and threw my to the floor.

I yelped, and she snickered.

"That hurt bitch?" She slurrred.

I didn't dare say anything. For I knew the consequences if I did.

"Get up. Get up you scumbag."

I pushed myself up, determined not shake as I stood in front of her.

She clutched my arm then, so hard it left bruises afterwards, and looked at me with fiery eyes.

"Your worthless, Carson."

I felt my heart drop.

"And I'm ashamed to have you as my daughter."

****

My head was throbbing as I woke up, my screams caught in my throat. My cheeks were wet, my

room empty.

I pushed myself up, trying to steady my heart and breathing.

I would like to say it was all a dream,

But that was once my life.

Anna

Sniffles woke me up.

Carson.

I had to help her with those dreams, but for right now, I was sick of it.

Picking up my pillow, I trudged over to Mikey's room.

I gave the door a slight knock, and a very sleepy, but cute, Michael answered.

"Anna?" He asked, in a sleepy, raspy tone.

"Carson's keeping me up, can I come in here?"

"Bad dreams, yeah? And yeah, come in."

He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, and lead me inside.

"You can sleep in the bed." He said nonchalantly, meanwhile, my heat raced.

"With you?" I squeaked.

He laughed, nodding.

Only slightly reluctant, I climbed in.

Phew wrapped his arm around my waist, pulling me closer.

"Night."

"Good night."

Carson

It all came back in a rush.

Not the good, warm comforting kind.

The one that makes you cringe, or sob Into your hands.

The one that makes you scold yourself, Instantly regretting whatever the hell you did.

The one that send shivers down your spine.

But most of all,

The kind that makes you feel like complete shit.

A worthless piece of complete shit.

Because,

That's what I was.
