MOTHER GOTHEL Well I was still on set when I had that conversation with Chase I was in my trailer, getting ready for a scene But then I got the messages and it felt like I had gotten punched in the face All hell broke lose at that point

MOTHER GOTHEL I had to leave in the middle of shooting I didn't tell anyone I just left It broke me And you know what happens when I feel like that

CHEWBACCA Thank goodness I literally stopped breathing for a second there
MOTHER GOTHEL But I almost did I went to the bar near the set The one the cast usually goes to after shootings And I sat there for a long time My phone was blowing up with messages I didn't answer anyone Except Robert I told him where I was He freaked out and said he'd come get me A few minutes later he bolted into the bar like a lunatic and made me leave I swear Marjani if he hadn't come to get me I would've had that drink
CHEWBACCA Thank God for Robert
MOTHER GOTHEL Then he made me get into his car And I sat there bawling for half an hour
CHEWBACCA What did he say??
MOTHER GOTHEL Nothing at first He just let me have a good cry Which I'm so, so thankful for And after a while I could speak again So he asked me what had happened And I told him everything

MOTHER GOTHEL Yeah My shitty ex husband and his threats, Nolan's custody agreement... all of it
CHEWBACCA Then what?
MOTHER GOTHEL I don't know, we just sat in his car for a while and we talked Obviously he cursed out Chase almost as much as you and I do He said he'd hook me up with his army of lawyers if it ever came to it
CHEWBACCA Doesn't he have a kid too? What was his custody battle like?
MOTHER GOTHEL Not much of a battle tbh Unlike Chase, his ex-wife doesn't want to keep his daughter away from him It was mostly about proving to the court that he could stay sober Which he did And they gave him shared custody
CHEWBACCA You guys have more in common than I thought
MOTHER GOTHEL Yeah I guess Still pretty fucking tragic if you ask me

MOTHER GOTHEL Robert's an all around amazing person I just hate that we bonded over the fact that we're both ex-addicts It's so pathetic
