THE AVENGERS HITS THEATRES: ALL PHOTOS FROM THE PREMIERE

The star-studded cast were all present for the LA premiere of this incredible blockbuster. This is the Marvel Cinematic Universe's biggest production yet and this premiere was the event of the season!
All eyes were set on the cast who showed up dressed to the nines. The ladies of Marvel were particularly ravishing.
Lana Mackenzie and Colbie Smulders, both making a debut in the MCU, turned more than a few heads. Meanwhile, Scarlett Johansson, reprising her role as Natasha Romanoff, outshined everyone on the red carpet. (pictured below)

While the ladies did steal the show, the men of Marvel certainly did not disappoint. Heartthrobs Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner and Tom Hiddleston made everyone swoon! Even beloved director, Joss Whedon, stepped into the spotlight (pictured below).

It seems like even superheroes can't go long without their special ladies and the cast of the Avengers are no different. Mark Ruffalo, portraying the Hulk, posed with his beautiful wife Sunrise Coigney (pictured). Meanwhile Australian hottie, Chris Hemsworth, took the red carpet by storm with his wife, actress and model, Elsa Pataky.
The biggest surprise of the evening however, was megastar Robert Downey Jr arriving at the event hand-in-hand with co-star Lana Mackenzie. It seemed like the two actors were each other's date to the premiere which left quite a few brows raised.
There have been many speculations about the nature of the two star's relationship even though they have both strongly denied they were anything more than friends... as they say, actions speak louder than words and seeing them cozying up does leave us skeptical!
