Chloe's POV

"Okay. I'll be there in five minutes," sabi ko sa kasambahay.

Sinuot ko na ang kabilang pares ng hikaw ko kasabay ang itim na relo sa kaliwang kamay at isang simpleng bracelet na puti naman sa kanan. I gazed at myself through the mirror for the first and last time and smiled to myself.

"It's not bad," I said while looking at my reflection wearing loose ripped jeans, a simple white shirt that I've tucked inside my pants, and typical white sneakers with white laces.

When felt contented of my look, I grabbed my black handbag from the table beside my full-body mirror and marched my way out of my walk-in closet. I saw dad walking towards the door as if he's already leaving as I enter my bedroom.

"Dad?" Pagkuha ko ng atensyon niya and he turned to face me wearing his usual satin black suit jacket that wasn't buttoned yet, with a white cotton polo underneath, black slacks, men's formal black shoes, and a long, black tie knotted around his neck.

"Where are you going?" he asked me as he stepped towards me, hands inside his pockets.

I composed myself first before answering. "Pupunta lang po ako sa Billionaire's High. I need to fix my papers and pass other requirements para makapasok ako bukas. I also need to go to the mall to buy a new laptop," I replied and it looks like he's satisfied with my answer.

Kailangan kasi na everytime na may pupuntahan ako ay sasabihin ko sa kanya. Even though he already hired me a butler to report him about my whereabouts, kailangan ko pa ring sabihin sa kanya ang lahat para malaman niya kung nagsisinungaling ako o hindi.

"There's no need for you to go there. You're already enrolled. In fact, I just brought your package here." Itinuro niya ang kama ko at may kahon nga sa ibabaw.

Lumapit ako para tingnan kung ano ito bago ako umalis. Itim ang box at mukha siyang spy briefcase. I saw my full name printed in white crystals on its black handle.

Napangisi ako dahil sa karangyaan ng hitsura nito. It looks so fancy.

Binuksan ko ang case at tumambad sa akin ang iba't ibang gamit: mayroong necklace, watch, gold card na parang ATM, name tag, may manipis na libro tungkol sa mga profiles ng mga anak ng mga mayayamang negosyante na nag-aaral sa Billionaire's High, at mayroon pang isang magazine.

"BH is giving that briefcase to all of their students. The gold card is your ATM card inside the campus, the necklace and watch have trackers for them to know if all of the students are inside the school, and also to locate your whereabouts in case of some emergencies. I requested the book for you to have a background of all the possible people connected to the Maurens," mahabang paliwanag ni Dad.

Kinuha ko 'yong magazine at itinaas upang ipakita sa kanya. Ang front cover ay isang lalaking naka-formal attire. Maayos na naka-suklay pataas ang kanyang buhok, malalim ang itim na mga mata niya ngunit wala makikitang trace ng eyebags dahil siguro natakpan ito ng make-up, matangos ang ilong niya, mamula-mula ang labi, at makikitang maganda ang hubog ng katawan kahit kalahati lamang ang kuha ng camera.

"They're publishing magazines every three months. The school's theme this year is to nourish everyone's talents than just pure intelligence. If you're asking about that boy, he's Ranz," Dad added.

Ranz. Tiningnan kong muli ang front cover at ngayon ko lang napansing may nakasulat palang pangalan niya sa may ibabang parte.

Napangiti ako sa mga binigay sa akin ni dad dahil parang mas mapapabilis nito ang misyon ko.
