Chapter 5: SERENITY

A week after the competition, the school permits us to have a celebration for winning. Sa labas ng school ang celebration pero sponsored ang gastos.

"Allison ang kuya mo!" Tumakbo papalapit sa akin si Kit at iniabot ang iPad niya.

(Your gift is on it's way. I just know you will win) kuya Kurt said.

Napangiti naman ako, I miss him.

"Kuya hindi ka uuwi?" I asked. Napansin ko naman na napa buntong hininga siya.

(I'll try to look at my schedule,) He said, forcing a smile.

He knows when he could, when he's not certain that means siyang ginagawa and it's not possible for him to go home.

"Wag na kuya, I know how busy you are. Baka ma-stress ka lang kapag nakita mo sched mo."

We talked for a while and it's fun. Sumali na rin sila Ethan sa usapan namin not until he was called by his secretary.

What a busy life he has there.

Maya maya lang ay dumami na rin ang tao, everyone in senior high department are invited but it is not required for them that's why I didn't expect Lucas to come.

He doesn't attend this kind of party, walang alak, not his kind of party but nevertheless, he's here.

"Congratulations again." He said. Nagpa salamat naman ako. "Don't you think this party is too childish?" He asked while roaming his eyes around.

"School is the one who throws this party, what do you expect?"

Tumingin siya sa akin, his eyes are beautiful and maybe that is why I can't look at them for so long, I might reveal what's inside of me.

May kinapkap siya sa bulsa niya at nakita kong susi yon. "Come with me." wala na akong nagawa nang hilain niya ako.

"San mo ba ako dadalhin?" Tanong ko sa kanya habang hila hila niya ako. "Nandon yung party tapos aalis tayo?" I asked again when he put me inside his car.

Pag sakay niya ay wala siyang ginawa, naka upo lang siya habang naka tingin sa akin.

"Don't worry I won't take you anywhere... Not just yet." He said. Why do Lucas always say something that makes me think? "Close your eyes," Pero hindi ko siya sinunod, why would I close my eyes? "Bilis na, saglit lang tapos ibabalik na kita don," Ayaw ko man ay ginawa ko na lang.

I closed my eyes.

Pinakiramdaman ko ang nasa paligid ko. Wala namang nangyayari. I was about to open my eyes when I felt him close to me.

"Don't open your eyes just yet," He is so close that I felt his breathing on the side of my cheeks.

Nanatili na lang akong naka pikit, afraid to see how close he is when I open my eyes.

Naramdaman ko ang malamig na bagay na nilagay niya sa leeg ko. I opened my eyes and there I saw what it is.

A necklace with a big circle pendant. Walang kahit na anong nakalagay, plain lang siya na gold at makapal ito.

"Para saan?" I asked. Lumayo na siya sa akin at tinignan ito. I don't know if he is really looking at it or on my cleavage, that smirk is something. "Lucas yung mata mo!" Natawa naman siya sa sinabi ko.

"I am looking at the necklack, na distract lang," He said. "That's for you, obviously. Someday you'll know it's purpose. I needed to take you here kasi baka kung anong isipin ng mga nasa loob."
