-April
It's been 2 weeks. Only 2 weeks. It feels way longer, like months. Alex met my brothers wife and she's actually quite fond of him. Jackson and Alex have a great relationship, in the short time they've got to know each other he's spoiled Jackson like crazy. That's probably why Ella, my brothers wife and Jackson's mum, likes Alex so much.
Alex bought a sofa bed to replace my old sofa because we only have one bedroom and even though we are only friends I feel uncomfortable to sleep with someone else. We've both been going to work like we would any normal day. Alex takes the weekends off, like me, so we can spend more time getting to know each other. I've grown a good relationship between myself and Easton. Me and East have been doing business together and have become genuine friends. Alex still finds it weird that me and Easton have become so close, my excuse is always 'It's because we're the same age'.
Today is the day Alex has been anticipating his whole career. It's the day his charity opens up, Reed Charity Organisation.
"April do you know where my grey waist coat is?" I hear him shout from the bedroom. I get up and walk to the bedroom. I don't go inside, instead I stand in the door frame leaning on one side.
"You sent it to the dry cleaners remember? Chris spilt wine on it?" I say. Oh yeah that reminds me, I've also become good with Chris. Alex's only friend from school. Chris is a very 'live on the wild side' kind of person. Definitely not my forte but he's funny to be around. He gets so offended when Alex calls me his best friend.
"Navy blue." I say and Alex stands up looking at me. The poor guy looks so stressed out. His under eyes tired, his hair messy from the glasses sitting on top of his head and he's frantically checking his phone, making sure he isn't late.
"Wear the navy blue suit, it looks just as good as the grey one does." I say and give him a warm smile. I walk over to him and he sits in front of the closet.
"What if I mess up my speech? No one would ever let me forget that!" He exclaims while rubbing his head with his fingers.
"You're just nervous, it's normal Alex. You are going to do amazing. Now hurry up and get your butt in this suit." I say while tapping him on the back. He nods and gets up to change. He pulls his black t shirt over his head and reveals his perfectly tones body. He's gotten changed in front of me a bunch of times but every time I can't help but look. It's not normal to be that perfect.
I look at myself in the mirror and look at what I'm wearing. I decided to go with a Navy body con and my good old Louboutin's. The sun was shining so I decided to ditch the idea of a jacket. Honestly I was as nervous as Alex, but for a different reason.
Over the weeks we've been going out a lot, the press took notice of it and decided to turn it into a whole big thing. To some people I'm either his girlfriend, fiance, wife or a gold digging whore. Seriously, there was a tabloid about me titled: Gold digging whore. It made me laugh more than I thought it would. No one has had the opportunity to question me or Alex about it because in all honesty we are really boring and barely go out. People snap pictures of us going into our apartment and occasionally getting lunch that's it. I think the funniest thing that's been in the press recently is that I'm cheating on Alex with Easton. Me and East found is so hilarious that we tease Alex about how he's our third wheel.
"You look beautiful Apricot." Alex says, snapping me out of my inner thoughts. I look at him sitting on the edge of the bed lacing up his Oxfords and honestly he looks as handsome as ever. He wore his three piece navy blue suit, I personally preferred it when he ditched the blazer and just wears the waistcoat but I guess he has to be professional. He had a navy blue tie on and of course his classic white, crisp shirt. I look up at his face, yup still looks like a Greek god. He wasn't wearing glasses anymore, his eyes looked grey again. Recently I've been analysing his eyes, they've been green so why are they grey again?
"Would you like to take a picture?" He asks while laughing.
"Actually yes." I say while unlocking my phone, "We can remember this moment forever." He laughs as I snap the picture. He checks his phone for the time and says that we have to leave. We go into the living room and double check we have everything. He goes to open the door but I stop him.
"You need to wear this." I say while unclasping the Rolex on my wrist that I've been wearing since the day he gave it to me.
"No I gave that to you." He objects.
"Actually, I was just borrowing it. Just wear it. You look more put together with it." We just stare at each other but eventually after I say please he rolls his eyes and says fine then we leave and make our way to the big ginormous building he owns.
