"April, wake up. We're here." I move her hair out of her face and watch her eyes slowly open.

 "That was quick." She yawns.

"France isn't very far." I put my hand out for her to reach and she takes it. We walk to the black Audi SUV waiting for us outside. April sits on the far right hand side and I sit beside her. Once I shut the door, the driver starts moving.

"I expected you to be asking more questions." I say, looking at my phone.

"You know a date in London would've sufficed."

"But there's no Eiffel Tower in London." I smirk at her.

"You stupid rich people." She shakes her head.

"Are you hungry?" I ask.

"A little." She says in a small voice.

"Great because we're having dinner earlier than usual."

"I'm not even going to ask why." She rests her head up against the window and flicks through her phone.

After 30 minutes or so of driving in the car we finally arrive. I lean over and open April'd door.

"After to you." I smile and she steps out of the car.

"Alex." She gasps, taking in the beautiful sight of the Eiffel Tower. "I didn't think we were actually going here. I thought when you said there's no Eiffel Tower in London I thought that was a figure of speech."

"Well, you should start taking what I say more literally then." I tap her nose and grab her hand as we walk towards the elevator.

"Are we going to the top?" She asks, with out hands still interlocked.

"Not right now but we can go to the top later."

"What are we doing now then?" She asks and the elevator dings. A waiter greets up and offers us champagne. I take one glass and turn to April,

"I'm wining and dining you." She looks around, amused by the setting then smiles at me.

"Mr Reed your table is ready. Please follow me." The waiter says to us. April links her arms into mine and we follow the waiter. I pull out April' chair for her and she takes a seat mouthing the words 'thank you'. I sit opposite her and the waiter asks if we would like any other drinks. April orders an apple mock tail and I get a glass of red wine.

"This is extravagant." April sighs while looking out of the big window beside her.

"Paris is a beautiful city." I say.

"Do you come here often?"

"I used to stay in Lyon not Paris then I stopped. Me and Chris come here every now and then."

"Why did you stop?" She asks, still looking out of the window.

"Me and Gwendolyn had a house in Lyon. I'd ever taken her to Paris though so It's different being here." April looks at me and smiles emotionless.

"Do you and Chris come here for business?" She changes the subject.

"Not really. We come to Paris when we feel we need to let loose in a different setting."

"Ah I understand." She says.

We talk a little more and in that time we make our orders and the food arrives. We silently eat for a couple minutes. It's not an awkward silence, It's that natural, comfortable silence.
