"Can I drive your car one day?" April asks. I start laughing but keep my eyes on the road.

"I thought I made it clear that no one drives the McLaren but me."

"It's just a car." She sits back into her seat and I gasp dramatically.

"She is not just a car! How dare you!" I spit.

"You gave you're car a gender?" April laughs, "Does she have a name?"

"No." I lie.

"Mhmm." She laughs.

April starts playing with my radio and connects her phone to the aux cord. My speakers start blasting Lose yourself by Eminem and April begins rapping every word. I turn the sound down and laugh quietly.

"From Queen to Eminem. How unexpected." I say and she just shrugs and carries on rapping.

"I hate to interrupt." I turn the music off, "We're here."

She looks outside of the window and gasps. I get out of the car and job to open the door for her.  "This is where you grew up?" She asks, looking at me like I'm crazy. I turn around and take a look at the big white manor awaiting us. It was a bit over the top for just a family of 4. There were big glass windows separating every pillar and a water fountain in the middle of the driveway. It looked extravagant to April but to me just looked, normal.

"Yep this was my home for 16 years." I help her out of the car and close the door.

"You moved out at 16?" She asks.

"Yep." I reply simply.

"You know you're basically twice your age back then, now." She flashes me a cheesy grin.

"Not funny Apricot." I start walking and she follows me.

"I didn't know you liked Eminem." I say, steering he attention away from the manor.

"I like anything. You didn't even let me finish." She whines.

We get to the door and I ring the bell.

"I'm not stopping you now." I say and she smiles. She turns away from the door and picks up from where she left off and finishes Lose yourself. I watch her in amusement then start laughing.

"April." I clear my throat trying to mask out the laughter. She doesn't listen, she just carries on rapping. "April." I repeat and her eyes widen towards me.

"What I was almost finished!" She whines, I take her hand and twist her around. She gasps when she see's my mother standing in the door way with a shocked look on her face. I look at April and her cheeks have gone bright red.

"Mother." I say and she smiles at me giving me a kiss on the cheek. "This is April, April this is my mother Julia." April doesn't move, she doesn't even look away from the floor.

"April darling how lovely to meet you." My mother pulls April into a hug. She looks at me over my mother's shoulder and her face is shocked, I can't help but laugh.

"I am so sorry about that." April apologises.

"There's no need to apologise. It made my son smile so by all means carry on." They both smile at each other and we follow my mother into the dining room. April scowls at me.

"I'm sorry." I whisper. She hits me but I can see her trying not to laugh.

"Brother, April. Fancy seeing you here." Easton gets up from his seat and walks towards up. April's face lights up and they hug. I've always admired their sibling like relationship.

"What are you doing here?" I ask him.

"Nice to see you too." He rolls his eyes, I slap his shoulder with a smile.

"You guys go ahead and sit down, I'll go and get your father." My mother smiles at all of us and leaves the room. April walks to sit next to Easton and I follow her.

"Nope." She says and puts her hands over the seat I was about to sit in.

"What?" I ask.

"You are sitting next to your mother. I overheard you and Calum talking about how you don't spend time with them and how your mum misses you. So I'm sitting next to East, you are sitting there." She points to the opposite side of the table and Easton laughs. I slap the back of his head and he gets up to hit me back.

"Stop acting childish and sit down." April snaps at both of us. We put our hands up in defeat and raise our heads when we hear laughter.

"You've got my boys on a leash. I've never been able to do that. I didn't know they still fought at their big ages." Mother laughs and takes a seat on the table.

"You can't have a good sibling relationship without arguing once in a while." April smiles at me and East.

"April, good to see you." My father walks in and takes a seat at the head of the table. I walk to the other side to sit next to my mother.

"Good to see you too Calum." Aprils says politely.

Lunch isn't as excruciating as I thought It'd be. My mother and April talk about me and East and me, East and Calum talk about work. Both of my parents ask April questions to get to know her better and to my surprise, last night doesn't come up at all.

"So Easton is in a relationship with one of your friends?" Mother asks April.

"Yeah I am." Easton replies proudly, "You'll meet her one day mum."

"I hope so." She pauses, "So what about the two of you?" She says gesturing to me and April. Our eyes lock immediately and we don't say anything. Why aren't we saying anything?

"Julia I think that's enough with the nosiness." Calum says.

"I'm just curious. I want my 28 year old boy to get married someday." April starts choking on her water after my mother finishes her sentence. Easton pats her back and she just looks down.

"One day mother." I say to her and put my hand on top of hers.

"Me and April actually have to get going. We have a lot to do today." I get up at the same time as April and Easton.

 "Me too." Easton adds.

"Thank you for the lunch, it was amazing." April says and smiles at both of them.

"Of course. We'll walk you out." Both of my parents stand up and we all walk to the door together.

Everyone hugs and says their goodbye's but my mother whispers something to April. I dismiss it and wait for her walk out.

"Bye guys." Easton says as the doors close. "Well that was fun." He adds.

"Super." I say sarcastically.

"Well April. You are officially part of the family. I'll see you two later." He kisses April on the cheek and walks to his car.

I look at April, her face is expressionless.

 "You okay?" I ask.

"Super." She says bluntly. "Wine and dine me Alexander Reed." Now she's smiling.

"Yes ma'am."
