I get woken up by the banging noise of something. I look at my watch and see that its 3 pm. Damn that was a very long sleep. I look over to the other side of the bed and notice that Chris isn't there anymore. I get up and follow the banging noise.
In the living room Cassidy is laying on the sofa wrapped in a blanket and watching Netflix. Then I see Easton standing outside of one of the bathroom doors banging, loudly.
"What's going on?" I ask Cassidy.
"Chris showering and East needs to pee." She says while staring at the t.v.
"Easton there's a bathroom in the bedroom." I yawn and East immediately runs past me and into the bedroom. I walk up to the bathroom door that Chris is in and say,
"You don't have any clothes idiot."
"I took a t shirt and shorts while you were sleeping." He says and turns the water off. I walk over to Cassidy and take a seat next to her. Chris walks out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Chris will you please clothe yourself!" Cassidy says while turning to face me completely.
"I will calm down." He walks towards me and throws a white t shirt at me.
"This t shirt is like £250! Why do you own it?" He looks at me like I'm crazy and tugs on the tag still attached to it.
"It's Saint Laurent." I reply.
"It's stupid is what it is! It's literally a plain white t shirt."
"It says Saint Laurent in the middle so technically it's not plain. I say matter of factly which makes Cassidy giggle. Chris just scoffs at me.
"If you're that offended by the price go get something else of mine. I have plain Hugo t shirts. They aren't expensive."
"Oh. So I'm not rich enough to wear Saint Laurent is that what you're saying?" Chris speaks while waving the t shirt around.
"Chris." Cassidy says, "You literally work with Xander. You might not be a billionaire but you're not exactly poor. Also if I remember correctly weren't you going to buy that art at the gala a couple months ago for like £50,000?"
Chris narrows his eyes at Cassidy and walks back into the bathroom with my t shirt in his hand.
"I really think he's a teenage living in a 27 year old body." I joke.
"Yeah there's no way he's actually 27." Cassidy agrees.
"I CAN HEAR YOU!" Chris shouts from the bathroom, me and Cassidy laugh.
For the next hour or so myself, East, Cass and Chris just watch friends and eat left over pizza from yesterday. I look at the time and see that it's 5:30. April finished half an hour ago. Maybe she's forgotten about the engagement party tonight.
"I'm home beautiful people!" The door opens and closes and April walks in. What great timing. She puts her bags down and sits in the chair facing diagonally from the sofa.
"What did you guys do while I was gone? She asks. We all look at each other and say,
"Sleep."
"Okay well I hate to break this up but you lovely people need to leave now." She stands up and gestures towards Easton, Cassidy and Chris.
"What why?" Cassidy asks.
"Because me and Alexander need to get ready, then drive to an engagement party." She answers.
"Have fun with that." Easton says while getting up and putting a hand out for Cassidy. "Come on we can go get dinner." She nods with a smile on her face and gets up.
"This isn't fair. Either I'm tagging along with Cass and East or you two." He says to me and April.
"You can come with us but you still need to go home now." April says to Chris.
"Yes ma'am." He says. They all put their shoes on and leave the apartment.
"April I don't want to go. I am 28 year old man."
"I'm a 25 year old woman. What's your point?"
"You can't make me go if I don't want to." She rolls her eyes at me and walks into the bedroom.
"I'm getting ready." I groan and follow her into the bedroom.
April sends me to the bathroom and I put on my Reiss burgundy suit. I normally wear grey, black or navy so I'm hoping that April finds this suit so ugly that she tells me not to go. I decide to skip he contacts and just keep my glasses on. I never wear them in public but I really don't care at this point. I open the door to go back into the bedroom and see her looking at herself in the mirror. Before I want her to realise I'm here I look at her closely. She's wearing a long, silk, burgundy dress. I guess great minds do think alike. With a slit exposing her left leg. Her honey tanned skin looks amazing exposed but not inappropriately. Her hair is straight instead of wavy. I've never seen it like this before but it looks amazing. She takes out the necklace from under her dress and puts it on top for all eyes to see. To my surprise she's still wearing her watch. It doesn't go with her outfit but I love that she loves wearing it as much as I do.
"Draw me like one of your french girls." She says and turns to look at me.
"What?" I raise my brow at her.
"That's what you said when you caught me staring at you before we went to Luigi's remember. All those months ago."
"Good memory." I say and give her a small round of applause. She laughs and curtsy's.
"This is the second time this has happened." I say and walk towards her.
"I didn't know you owned anything that wasn't monochrome." She laughs while eyeing up my suit. "The burgundy suits you. The glasses suit you."
"Go ahead. Call me sexy." I smirk.
"You look handsome. Your hair looks cute when it's messy and might I also add the stubble suits you a lot." She runs her fingers along my jaw and then through my hair.
"But look at you." I say and twirl her around on the spot. "You look beguiling as usual." She raises her brow at me.
"That's a new word."
"I can't just call you beautiful all the time. I need to switch it up a little."
We stand in the mirror and look at us, together.
"We look good together." I say quietly, hoping she doesn't hear.
"Yeah we do." She whispers and looks at me.
"Sometimes I wonder." I say in a low deep voice and snake my arm around her waist to pull her closer to me. "I wonder..." I repeat and look at her pink full lips.
"Me too." She whispers looking at me with her eyes full of lust. I can't help but smirk, knowing that we both want this. I cup her face and watch her slowly close her eyes when...the doorbell rings. We look at each other with disappointment. She shakes her head and puts a smile back on her face.
"That's probably Chris. We should go." I nod and we go to the door and leave the apartment.
This is the second time this has happened. I don't think the universe wants us together.
