-April

I wake up in bed. I must've slept like a rock because I don't remember Alex carrying me to bed. I lift my head sightly and watch Alex button his shirt. He looked incredible in a suit but I think I preferred him in a simple white shirt and a pair of black trousers.

"Good morning." He says, looking at me via the mirror.

"Morning." I respond, my voice still thick with sleep.

"No work today?" He asks.

"No. I have no appointments today."

He walks over the bed and sits on the edge.

"I won't be back until maybe 9 or 10 pm. I have a lot of meetings today and paper work so don't wait for me."

"Okay, I'll probably invite Cassidy over when she's done with work. Have a nice day."

He kisses me on the top on my head and leaves. I pull out my phone and text Cassidy, asking her to come over. She tells me she'll come over once her shift is over. I go into the living room and make myself breakfast.

It's been a couple hours and I've been watching friends over and over again. Ross and Rachel really are problematic. All of a sudden the doorbell rings I pull one of Alex's hoodies over my head and go to answer the door.

"Conor?" I look at my brother standing at the door way with a pissed expression on his face. He walks into the apartment and I close the door.

"Why didn't you tell me April?" He yells and throws his phone on the sofa.

"Tell you what?" I don't move closer to him.

"You saw Landon and for some reason your room mate and his friend were punching him and his dad like they wanted them dead."

My face goes pale.

"How d-"

"Cass." He interrupts. "I called her to check up on her and your room mates brother. Then I asked about you and she told me what happened. I called Alex after and he told me absolutely nothing. So what are you hiding? You've never hidden anything from me, so why start now April?"

I wince when he calls me April. He rarely says my actual name, even when he'd be angry I'd still be his Apricot.

"How did you get here?" I ask.

"Landed last night."

"You just left work to ask me a question. That's stupid Conor."

"No April I came because you can't lie to me to my face. You've never been able to so tell me what happened that night."

"Let's sit on the sofa." I sigh.

I tell him about everything. From meeting Gwendolyn to seeing Landon and of course Steven.

"I'M GOING TO KILL HIM!" Conor roars and gets up.  I get up simultaneously and grab his arms.      "Conor calm down. Alex and Chris handled it." He looks at me still tense.

"I'm going to kill him." He grits through his teeth.

"Conor." I plead. He rips his arms away from mine and sits back down, as do I.

"I could've helped you April. I get that you didn't want Landon to know but I'm your brother."

"Jackson was just born and you married Ella. You had enough on your plate you didn't need to be bothered with this."
