-Alex

Photographers are coming at me from left, right and centre. I have nothing against pictures but I don't care about it right now. I throw my keys at the valet and walk through the open doors. Every woman is wearing white and every man looks the same. It's a good think I chose a black tux so I wouldn't stand out. I walk around, trying to avoid eye contact with everyone so they don't drag me into a conversation.

"Alexander." I hear Gwendolyn's voice purr. "You came." I turn around and she smirks.

"Don't flatter yourself." I spit and clench my jaw.  She comes closer to me and runs her fingers along my shoulder.

"She doesn't deserve you." She whispers in my ear. "Last I saw her, she was getting in on with another guy.  Tall, dark and handsome. I guess she wanted to switch it up." She laughs slowly and I push her off me.

"I'm happy you went crazy the day I broke up with you. I think I'd kill myself if I ended up marrying you. I'll send my prayers to your future husband." She gasps and I walk away from her.

I see my parents, I see some of my business partners but I don't see April. I keep walking, tapping random people on the shoulder to see if it's her when I spot her. Laughing with another man. He's tall, has piercings and tattoos. That isn't April's type at all, what's going on? I walk over to them, once I'm behind April I clear my throat and both of their attentions comes to me.

"Alex?" She asks. I give her an un convincing smile and she turns back to the guy in front of her. To my surprise she stands beside him and his arm snakes around her waist.

"I still volunteer as tribute." He whispers in her ear and she lets out a small giggle.

"What are you doing here Alex?" She says sternly.

"Who's he?"

"What are you doing here Alex?" She repeats, sticking to her firm tone.

I look back and forth between her and the man next to her and I sigh.

"Can we talk. Alone." I say. She keeps quiet for a couple seconds and whispers something in the guys ear.

"I'm here princess." He responds and releases her. Why is he calling her princess? April walks away and I follow her lead. We end up in an empty hallway, no one but us.

"Talk." She says bluntly.

"I didn't kiss Gwendolyn." I say and she scoffs. "April, she came into my office telling me you weren't good enough for me. Telling me that you'll never give me what I need but she can. I told her to get out but she wouldn't. She was trying to convince me to sleep with her so I told her to leave again. When you walked in she kissed me, I didn't kiss her back. I didn't even touch her my hands were glued to my desk. I'm so sorry that you saw that. I know it looked like everything I told you in France was a lie but it's not. I love you April, you know I do."

She doesn't say anything. She just glances at the ceiling and the floor a couple times.

"Are you telling the truth?" Her voice cracks and she looks at me. I step closer to her and cup her face.

"I wouldn't come here just to lie." I say in a low voice and she rests her forehead on mine.

"I need to tell Landon." She says in a whisper. I lift my head up.

 "Why?"

"I can't let him marry Gwendolyn if she's still in love with you."

"She isn't in love with me April."

"Alex. I've spoken to her, I know what love looks like. It's in her eyes, she still loves you." She sighs.

"I love you April." I say and put both my arms around her waist.

"I love you Alexander." She says slowly and my mouth moves to hers. My hands stay on her waist, one of her hands travel to the back of my neck and the other goes to my hair. We move slowly but passionately. She smiles against my lips and I pull away. She links her arm through mine and we walk out of the hallway.

"I think your right." She says.

 "About what?"

"We just might be inevitable."

We both smile at each other and I kiss the top of her head.
