Conor left for New Orleans a week ago yet I'm still here, living in his hotel room and he has no idea.
Easton and Cass don't know he's gone, they think I'm spending quality time with my big brother. The only person that knows is Chris. He's has been bringing clothes to me, he even paid for my stupid parking ticket behind my back. I've been going to work per usual, everyday there's a vase of pink peonies waiting for me. Everyday the note simply says : I love you, I know they're from him. I've been giving the bouquets of flowers out to some of the ladies in my office. Not because I don't want them-actually-yes it's because I don't want them. He hasn't tried to reach out to me other than sending the flowers. I know at one point I need to go to my actual home and face the music but I don't want to.
I texted Landon back the same day I saw Alex with his fiance. I told him I wanted to meet him, I wasn't going to let him be oblivious about the fact that the woman he's going to marry is cheating on him with my b-Alex.
I know it's not my business but no one deserves to be cheated on, not even Landon. He's been telling me how swamped he's been and how the only free time he has he's spending with his future wife. So I told him I'd go to his engagement party. Of course my intentions aren't to congratulate him but to tell him what a disgusting person Gwendolyn is. Hell, even Alex! He kissed an engaged woman!
The engagement, part 2, is today. Chris dropped me off a dress. I could tell he bought it and it was expensive because I don't recognise it from my closet and the price tag was still on it. I pick up the long white dress and study it. It's definitely beautiful. I pick up the price tag and gasp.
"It's almost £3,000!" Holy hell Chris! I read the tag and see that it's Balmain. I shake my head and put the dress down. I decide to actually curl my hair for once instead of letting my hair be natural. I do my makeup and decide on a soft glam with a nude glossy lip. Avoiding my face, I slip the dress on and look at myself in the mirror. I look good. The only thing is the back of the dress is dipped so low that my entire back is exposed. At least it was just the back and not the front. Honestly, for Chris, this dress is appropriate. I'll give him a small round of applause. I take my necklace out from underneath the dress, I liked that the sapphire stood out against the white. My watch was on my wrist, per usual, and I made my way downstairs to my car.
Chris asked me if he wanted me to go with him but I said no. I wasn't planning on staying for long. I just had to fulfil my 'mission' and then I'd be gone. I know for a fact that Alex wont be there. He didn't even want to go to the first one.
I get into the drivers seat of my car and just sit for a second. What if Steven's there? I won't have Chris or Alex with me. I shake off my inner thoughts and turn the car on.
Let's go end a relationship.
