Author: MagmaKepner [2]

Name: Ada Huxley.

Age: Sixteen.

Sex: Female.

District: Three; Technology.

Physical Description:  With auburn hair stretching down to Ada's shoulders, it is typically an  unruly mass of curls typically held together in a type of ponytail with  one of her friend's inventions. Her appearance isn't as uncommon as  those in other Districts would think though. Though her hair is more  apparent than most, the rest of her appearance matches the rest of  Three. Standing at an average 5'6", Ada's figure is scarcely marked by  scratches or by malnourishment. She carries herself with an air of  confidence, and her bright, mischievous, smile accompanies her all the  way. Her blue eyes are electric, masked by glasses that not only aid in  her vision but are the newest brand out there. While she has no defining  muscle tone on her body, she maintains a relative weight in comparison  to the many poor people in Panem.

Personality:  Fiery and headstrong, Ada is undeniably a brilliant yet dangerous girl.  She isn't strong, but her loud opinions often are not in the Capitol's  favor. A true leader, she's rebellious in which she will yell at a  teacher for Panem's problems, but she always tries to keep her emotions  in check. There is no point to an opinion if one cannot think straight  while making it. For this reason, she is both admired and disliked, her  intensity often throwing people off. However, her loyalty and kindness  are often hidden by her typical brash nature, as she knows that in such  an intelligent District there must be a level of connection. She has  always wanted more in her life, and that is shown in her personality,  too: she has always strived for intelligence, for reaching beyond what  others had achieved; her reactions are quick and her emotions, although  occasionally volatile, are at the most times kept in check. Perhaps her  most defining feature most noted by anyone first meeting her is her  determination and unwillingness to compromise her opinions. She will  eventually get what she wants, even if it means that the people she  loves and are loyal to get hurt in the process.

Background: Ada  grew up in a family of prominent inventors. Her father, Dorian Huxley,  is one of the most renowned inventors in Three, and her mother works  improving computer chips. Because of this, her home life was always full  of luxuries poorer people in Three did not have. Ada's sister, Valeria,  now twenty-one, works as a high-ranking executive officer at one of the  local plants, working on overseeing the production if high-tech Capitol  luxuries. Ada's always felt obligated to follow in her family's  footsteps of having a good job, but even rom a young age she has been a  bit off-the-rack. Often getting into trouble with other students at the  school for her loud nature, her family has always tried to keep a close  eye on Ada for fear she may say something against the Capitol. This has  not stopped Ada though, as while she grew intellectually at school, it  also fuelled her nature for change.
She excelled especially in  mathematics and physics, yet through her weaker courses Ada found  herself lost in more ways than one. This she counteracted with doing  work that interested her, rather than the assigned work. However, her  work wasn't always to the nature of the relatively peaceful Three, and  may times Ada felt threatened by those in higher authority to stop her  actions and instead focus on her studies. This, of course, still left  her a lot of time in her mind, as she was a fast learner, as many in  Three are.
While she did stop her ideas and brashness for a while,  she eventually could not stop, and began to become a Capitol nuisance  again. Through this, however, she met the love of her life: Oswald  Claris. Their mathematics teacher paired them together when he became so  desperate for Ada to be quiet and top questioning everything that he  paired the loudest and quietest person in the room. This, unfortunately,  backfired, since not only did Ada gain a supporter, but a sidekick.  That's not to say Oswald is in any way rebellious: he keeps to himself,  and would rather not participate in any of Ada's schemes, but he stands  by her, aiding her in the fine details of her work and always being a  shadow to Ada. This, Ada reasoned, was perhaps the best thing that had  ever happened to her, and she finally felt absolute trust in someone.
Recently,  Ada has become absorbed in new nanotechnology, and has often enlisted  the help of Oswald to aid her in her works. Through this, Ada had begun  working as an apprentice, like many her age do, at the towering office  building in the heart of the town. Ada could not have been more happy,  as not only was her job exciting, but her ideas and rebellious nature  could be developed through her independence and solitude.

Reaped/Volunteered: Volunteered.

Reaction/Reason:  Not only had Ada been itching to finally share her ideas and implement  her chaos-ridden plans in the Capitol (or so she was planning), but she  was smart. She wanted to be the hero that she knew she was, wanted to  start something new that would resonate for generations. Her voice could  not be silenced in the arena, and she figured that to die doing  something important would be better than having to suffer years in  silence back home. Her family knew not of her plans, but they had always  assumed she would end up getting in some sort of trouble for her ideas.

Strengths: Ada  has a brilliant mind, no one can doubt that. Her cleverness and wit has  helped her weasel out of many an awkward situation, and she knows what  to say and how to say it in order to keep herself out of the clutches of  Peacekeepers.
Along with that, she's skillful with planning and is  able to set traps while still looking out for danger. This proves her  main asset in the Games, but Ada feels her straightforwardness and  stealth will also help her.
Also, she is agile, her fingers nimble  enough from working with small parts to assemble and use a variety of  intricate weapons. Her emotions, as said, are kept in check, too, and  she feels as though her drive to win will overpower her emotional logic  of killing someone.

Weaknesses: Three  is not known for strength. Instead of muscle Ada only has her mind, and  even that has its flaws at times, though she wouldn't like to admit it.  She can be a bit naïve in the fact that she thinks one way but will  block out anyone who says otherwise. Her loudness, too, is also a  hindrance at times, unless she learns to keep her mouth shut. She also  is inept at the basics of hand-to-hand and brute weaponry and has little  stamina. While her emotions are focused on winning, this can also cause  Ada to become belligerent and disastrous to the people and surroundings  around her.

Weapon: Probably either a shuriken or dagger; anything she can get her hands on that has several uses rather than pure killing.

Token: Oswald had  given her a bracelet with miniature circuit board cells decorating it.  It's spray-painted silver, and Ada wears it to remember to be as  resourceful and clever as Oswald.

Wish: She wants  power. She wants to be able to pass or deny laws, she wants the power to  control the Games. Everything in her life could be better, and having  the ultimate power, through being President or having the ruling power  above the President is what she dreams of.
