Physical Description:  At first glance, Kerry looks rather ordinary, but she's one of the rare  few who seem to look better the more you look at her. Her narrow face  is framed by wavy brown hair that she sometimes straightens when she  feels like having a change, and her eyes are a grey-blue that seem to  light up when she really gets enthusiastic about something (although  admittedly, that isn't very often). With no shoes on she stands at 5'8,  but with the high heels she usually wears, she towers over most other  women at a little over six feet.

Personality:  Kerry has an argumentative, cynical, and sarcastic interior that stays  firmly hidden inside a firmly calm and collected exterior. In general,  she hates arguments, chaotic noises, and hence she really isn't much of a  people person, preferring to be with small groups of people instead of  large and loud  parties. She almost never gets really excited or  passionate about any topic, and people have accused her of icing them  out before just due to her seemingly uncaring exterior. Kerry is smart  but doesn't correct others much because that would lead to unnecessary  yelling, and the few arguments she gets into she tends to lose because  she can't hold her ground. Her ideal world would be where people would  listen to her without question, but human nature obviously prevents  that. Words others use to describe her usually circle around "boring",  "quiet", "calm", and "background character", and Kerry doesn't  particularly like that view of her, but she also doesn't know how to  change it.

Brief background:  Kerry was born into a middle class family, and did extremely well in  school, causing her to get into an excellent university and medical  school. She now owns her own clinic and is a successful doctor. Her  family, unlike her, tend to be loud and very vocal about their lives,  aggressive about politics (her older sister Julia is famous among the  family for punching some conservative man who was rudely bashing a  politician she supported), and very vocal about their opinions. She  married John Owens a year and a few months before she left for the Area  51 mission, but he is currently in the hospital due to a severe  concussion from a car crash.

Why they signed up:  Kerry originally wanted nothing to do with Area 51 or government  missions, but her husband John was extremely passionate about exploring  Area 51 and distrustful of the government, therefore he had signed up  for the mission with the goal of finding proof that the government was  hiding important information from the citizens. However, only about a  week before he was to leave, he was hospitalised due to a severe  concussion from a car crash with a texting driver, and since it was in  such short notice, Kerry was forced to take his place.

Anything else:  Kerry has an irrational fear of water. She has experienced nothing  traumatic in the water, but she is dead scared of it and so has never  learned to swim.
