Physical Description:  Ava has a delicate, distinctly feminine build that seems almost  pixie-like. She has a slim face with well defined cheekbones, and the  blue eyes that are typical in her family. Dark brown hair is another  common trait in the Emerson family, and Ava makes sure to wear hers  long, and usually with some sort of bow or other stereotypically girly  accessory. Her skin is pale and smooth, apart from a few scars and  callouses on her hands, which she hates. Ava accentuates her shapely  lips with gloss, and detests wearing pants, as a result she rarely  leaves the house in anything other than a dress. Much to her dismay,  being flat-chested runs is another Emerson family trait.

Personality:  After roughly the fifth time her father called her Avner, Ava made it  her goal to be as different from her namesake as possible. Where Avner  was quiet, reserved, and spent a majority of her life pretending to be a  male, Ava is anything but. She's bubbly, excitable, friendly, and as  overtly feminine as she can manage. She avoids anything that could be  considered "masculine" and goes out of her way to wear pink or other  "soft" colors whenever she can. The result is that she comes off as  extremely shallow and more than a little nauseating, but it's all a  facade. This outward personality is a perfect porcelain face she's  created for herself so that she can be her own person and not be  compared to the aunt she never knew.

Background: Ava  is the niece of Avner Emerson, and she's never been allowed to forget  it. Even her name is a memorial to the female D5 Male tribute from the  375th Hunger Games. Ava's father, Blaise Emerson, was fifteen years old  when his family's name was pulled from the Reaping bowl as the last  Quarter Quell. Blaise had wanted to represent his family in the Games,  but his older sister Avner insisted that she be the one to do it. She  lost. By some cruel act of the Gamemakers, Ava's grandmother Soleil was  killed in the Games as well. As long as Ava's been alive, her family has  had a cloud of sorrow hanging over it, a cloud she's spent her whole  life trying to escape.

Reaction/Reason: She maintained a brave front, despite the shrieks and wails from her family.

Strengths: She's  personable, so the public should like her and she shouldn't have a  difficult time making allies. She's fast, thanks to her thin build and  long legs. She's a good actress, since she's had to force a smile and  bubbly persona for years.

Weaknesses: If it  comes down to a fight, she'll probably lose. She has terrible  navigational skills and has wound up lost in her home District multiple  times. She's far too focused on appearances.

Weapon: Ava has  never had any sort of training, but since Avner used a sword, Ava  avoided that. She settled on a handful of small daggers.

Token: Her favorite hair bow. Ava's sure to get dirty in the arena, but she wants to ensure that her gender is never questioned.

Wish: She wants  her entire family to forget what happened in the 325th Hunger Games.  This is partially for her family's sake, as none of them ever recovered  from the loss, and partially for her own sake. She's tired of being  compared to Avner.
