District Thirteen Male: Aesop Detona

Name: Aesop (Ace) Detona

District: Thirteen

Physical Description:  Ace has unruly gold curls that his mom says are adorable, but he just  thinks they're girly. Paired with his hair are his light gray eyes that  have a slight blue tint to them. Along with this is a transparent skin  tone, due to little to no sunlight. Ace is tall, causing him to seem  borderline-lanky. However, he is quite muscular thanks to the physical  training of his district. He thinks of it as he has yet to grow into his  appearance. Well, it's what he hopes anyway.

Personality: Ace  is considered quiet and reserved by his parents. He's a stuttering mess  in front of them, but that's because they're no-nonsense stuck-up people  who know nothing about the definition of fun. But he can't fool his  sisters. They know that the real Aesop Detona sneaks out of their  quadrant after hours. They know he's sarcastic and witty and an overall  charmer of females. But how would Ace describe himself? Misunderstood.  He's always trying to show others the other side of every story. There's  just no one who comprehends something other than what has been already  told. So perhaps Ace is too much for anyone to properly love. There's no  changing his stubborn, boastful, confused personality, though.

Background: Aesop  Detona is the lucky one when it comes to getting by in life. Even when  he was small, Ace knew he just had more luck than the average person.  For his sister, Rosemary, however, luck was never in the cards. Ace  loves both of his sisters, but Rosemary holds a soft spot in him that  not many people reach. So when she got sick, Ace just wanted her to get  better. But that was eight years ago. And now Rose is not expected to  live through the end of the year. Coming from a tight-knit, if not  somewhat strict, family, Aesop has always thought of his family first.  Hopefully he can do right by his sister in her biggest time of need.

Reaped/Volunteered: Volunteered

Reaction/Reason:  Ace volunteered in the hopes of finding someone who finally understood  what it's like to be different people yet still the same on the inside.  (And, okay, his parents may have coerced him into it. But he tells  himself he did it on his own terms.)

Strengths: Ace is  strong, in the physical sense. All that training had to go somewhere,  right? On the contrary of his brute force, Ace has the charisma of any  great comedian. Finally, Ace is perhaps a genius, but that's only if you  pay attention to what he's saying.

Weaknesses: Ace  gets attached to things easily. Embracing new environments will be  difficult. Ace is a deep sleeper. If you set fire to a building, put him  inside of it, then have it explode, he'd never know what was going on.  (And of course by that point he'd be dead, but you get my point.) Ace is  not very good at hiding his emotions, which could get him in a lot of  trouble.

Weapon: Anything that shoots (i.e. sling shots)

Token: A Cat's Eye marble

Wish: Aesop wishes for his sister to become well again. (Though if she wasn't sick he'd go for world domination.)
