Name: Lincoln Gardner
Age: 23
Physical Description: Lincoln is generally average-looking, and doesn't really stand out much in a crowd. He's got that typical american-look with his mousy brown hair that's wavy but curly at the ends, and those cute dimples that are admired by most of his peers. His eyes aren't any rarity as they're the common, warm brown eyes that could be found mostly anywhere, along with his skin tone of a light tan that can be found on anyone who's spent some time outside. His build is also average, maybe even slightly above at best, and the only thing that might stand out is his mild shortness of 5'7.
Personality: Moxie is definitely a word that comes to mind when thinking of Lincoln. He's determined, persevering, and has this inner focus that keeps him a motivated overachiever. Being an overachiever, he's hard-working, and never slacks off when it comes to anything. However, his desire to overachieve and go above what was originally asked isn't because he wants to impress, but more of the fear of letting down/disappointing people if it isn't up to their expectations. Along with this is his belief that if he does disappoint a person (even a stranger) then they'll think less of him, which he tries to avoid at all costs since he genuinely cares about what others think of him, and has a heavy desire to be liked by everyone, making him a people pleaser. His logic is that if he goes above expectations, then there's no risk of disappointing people, or having people think less of him, which he fears more than anything else. While these traits are mostly a bad thing since he can't keep everyone happy, or make everyone like him, it does make him a friendly person, steers him clear of conflict, and keeps him listening to what uninteresting things girls rant about. Not all bad things.
Brief Background: Lincoln has been an overachiever and has had the fear of failing others since the day he learned how to write. His parents were both high school/ secondary school teachers, and in school there was always this expectation that because both his parents were teachers, he had to be intelligent, and a few years above his grade levels. Fearing disappointment, he pushed himself hard to be one of the brightest kids in school, and pushed himself to the maximum in order to be the top student in his grade. By the time he was in his last years of secondary/high school, he had earned several physics, and engineering scholarships, and ended up getting a full ride to an Ivy League University, which is above what his parents expected. It goes like this to present time, as these expectations from others never really faded of what a teacher's kid should be, and now he just continues what he started.
Why they signed up: To be perfectly honest it was mainly to keep his parents and a few others happy.
