Task One: I Wish

"Follow me, if you please."

Although there is  without a doubt something beyond eerie about Cicero, the tribute has no  choice but to follow him. Still, there's something about him that  unsettles even his mother - an ambition of sorts that is almost  frighteningly limitless. Even twenty-five years later, nobody has  forgotten what he had families do to each other within the arena. Still  he marches on, his head high and not bothering to look behind him; he  knows they have no choice at this point.

Down a corridor as blank  and unsettling as the one through which the tributes were led  twenty-six years ago, there is a door made of the same grey metal as the  one at the end of that other corridor. Perhaps they are the same,  perhaps not. Either eat, their intent is similar to what it was back  then, but just a little different. Similarly, the decor of this room is  as blank as the old one, but this time the chair and camera are replaced  by two chairs facing one each other.

Cicero sits, prompting  the tribute to do the same. His left leg is crossed over the right so  that his ankle rests on his knee, and he fixes the tribute with  unflattering interest.

"Tell me, dearie... what is it you wish for?"

THE TASK:

- I know you stated your  wish in the form, but I want you to elaborate on this. Why is this your  wish? Did a specific moment decide so for you? What would your life be  like if it came true? Use any of these guides or something else  entirely, but centre your task on the wish.

- KILLS:  None. This task is just to decide who is sponsored and your scores. Like  in Masquerade of Martyrs and Family Ties, you will receive notes on  your performance this task.

- WORD LIMIT:  1,250 words. This is one of the smaller limits you will be given, but  you will be given them each task. This, believe it or not, is to help  you stay concise and keep the quality of your writing.

- DUE DATE: Friday, June 5th at 10 PM BST.

- ABOUT SPONSORSHIPS:  Three of you (you know who you are) have already been sponsored based  on your form - one per Gamemaker. Please do not tell people if you have  been. Another new thing to these Games is what I call leagues. You have  been divided into five leagues, all depending on your average score: A  is 11 or more, B is 9 or 10, C is 8, D is 7 and E is 6 or less. There  are currently some of you in each. To be eligible for sponsorship, you  need to be at least a B in the average of your form and this task.
