Calypso Arcanum [15]

Just  like she thought, the ceremony was about as boring as it could get. It  was literally just a list of things they could and couldn't do.

"You can't go down the west wing corridor, or into any of the rooms in the east corridor."

"If a door is locked, you, under any circumstances, will not enter."

"Curfew is at 9:30, and you must have your lights out 10:00"

"If a guard tells you to do something, you have to do it. It is for your safety."

Blah,  blah, blah. She heard this same kind of speech a million times. First,  by her parents when she finally got her car. Then, again by her parents  when she crashed the car under intoxication. Later, once again by her  parents, when she told them she was ditching high school and not going  to college. And finally by her manager when she said that she was taking  a vacation to Hawaii.

She didn't want to hear it again. Or really need to, for that matter.

Digging  around in her bag, Calypso pulled out her phone and shot a message to  Calliope. As much as she hated her right now, she needed something other  to do than listen to a bald man telling her that she isn't allowed to  use the bathroom without someone freaking holding her hand.

I absolutly hate every single one of you. Read 7:01 AM

but mostly you, Calli. Read 7:01 AM

I know, but you'll thank us later.

It  took everything Calypso had in her not to groan. She would not thank  them for sending her to a hell-hole in the middle of nowhere especially  when she had a show next week. So, instead of groaning, Calypso rolled  her eyes and angrily sent another message.

I hope that I won't go to prison after I murder you. Read 7:02 AM

Shut up u <3 us.

This  time she scoffed out loud. She most definitely did not '<3' them  right now. She wanted to push Calli down the stairs and then run her  over with a monster truck, maybe lighting the whole thing on fire  afterwards. That technically doesn't qualify as '<3'ing someone.

In ur dreams. Read 7:02 AM

Noticing  her scoff, the man at the front remembered to collect all the  electronics, to the annoyance of the crowd. Calypso typed another angry  message, a new sense of urgency filling her. She needed her friends to  know just how much she wanted to kill them right now, and she needed  them to know before her phone was taken away.

My  phones getting taken away cuz of you and no #1 hit can change how much i  want to leave this dumb place and strangle u calli. Read 7:03 AM

Aww  :( sucks for u i guess. lol :)  Just be careful. k? I saw the news and I  want u to stay very much alive. We need you next week.

If they had wanted her to stay alive, they wouldn't have signed her up to die of boredom.

I will dw. I'll see you later. I still hate you btw >:(  Read 7:03 AM

The man was coming closer, and more phones were being given up.

Love ya too. <3 Bye Lypso.

Whatever. Read 7:04 AM

Dots  at the bottom of her screen signified that Calli was typing something,  but before the message came through, Calypso's phone was snatched away.  She glared, but still her phone was dropped in the basket. Did he not  know that she was a famous celebrity? How dare he take her phone away.
