The problem with five  people surviving tragedy is that there are five of them. Supply and  demand, if you will; the media has no need for five separate stories  when they can tell one or two... four, maybe, if it comes to that.  They're all heroes at first, of course, but the fact is that time passes  and eventually that number dwindles. Sometimes, people die. Others,  they get boring. But the number always fails.

A year has passed and  only four stories are still being told. The cameras have begun to fade,  and it seems as though the world doesn't remember that a year ago they  were on the cover of every paper, worshipped and discussed and  remembered. But life goes on, and with each moment comes another,  sometimes more painful than the last, sometimes less.

But a year goes by, and eventually so will another. Time always passes.
