The Audition Task: Mission Control Centre

Hidden away in one of  the many maximum security rooms the pentagon has to offer, President  Finch and Vice President Smythe are sat, scanning through row after row  of applications as they try to decide on a team of fifteen to send into  the Area. The pressure placed on them has been evident from the moment  this project was announced to the public. This team has to be capable,  balanced and still somehow satisfy the media.

"I still can't believe we interested this many people in a possible suicide mission," says Malcolm. "I don't know how we did it"

"I told you, Malcolm. Weave a good story and the entire world will eat out of your hand."

THE TASK:

Weave us a good story!  As this is an audition, I've decided it best to give three different  options so you can choose the one with which you feel most comfortable  in order to impress me the most and earn your way into being one of the  fifteen contestants. Your options are:

1. Write the moment  in which your character (this can and probably should be the character  you plan on writing) decided to sign up for this mission.
2. Write the moment where your character is told they will be participating in this mission.
3. Write your character's arrival to mission control centre, where they are to spend the night before entering Area 51.

Word Limit (they'll be present throughout the Games, so you may as well get used to them): 1,500 words.

Deadline: Wednesday, October 14th at 10 PM BST.

ALONG  WITH THE TASK, I WOULD LIKE YOU TO SEND A CHARACTER FORM. THIS WILL  HAVE A SAY IN WHETHER OR NOT YOU GET IN AND WILL BE YOUR CHARACTER  THROUGHOUT THE GAMES, SO BE SMART.
