Well, it looks as though  we've reached the end of a Games - but not to fear; you'll be hearing  more from me soon enough! For now, however, I think it's time to shift  the focus to each of our competitors and give them their due time in the  spotlight!

15. Drake Bynes (-erudite-) [28]

The eighth place  auditionee, many expected Drake to be a real contender in these Games -  however, for reasons unknown, he ended up failing to hand in the very  first entry, subsequently leading to his death. RIP.

14. Chloe Bassett (Ryder27)

With a very distinctive  writing style, Chloe had plenty of potential - however, an unlucky turn  of events led to her being up against two of our Quarterfinalists in the  first round of voting, and she came face to face with an untimely end.

13. Ahilya Rajagadon (incarceration) [13]

It seems as though  Ahilya's biggest enemy within this competition was time; being stuck  writing last minute entries both for the audition and the first task,  she wound up only part of the threat she could have been, unfortunately  ending her time with us quite early.

12. Calypso Arcanum (Squad53) [15]

One of the larger  personalities within the area, Calypso never actually wanted any of what  she was made to face - but she faced it regardless, head held high and  full of pride. A worthy performance by a worthy character, she did well  by herself, even if she wound up dead in the end.

11. Solace Endy (Evercade)

One of the few older  characters in the Games, Solace had everything it took to be a heavy  competitor - except, it seems, for time. Having to hand in a few rushed  entries, Solace found herself dying far too early, but showed plenty of  talent and promise either way.

10. Dylan Cole (SpookiPunk)

A completely new author  to me, I wasn't sure what to expect from Dylan - but over his time in  the Games, I learned that he was a strong character with a knack for  original and well-crafted entries. Unfortunately, his search for the  cryptids was a tad too successful, and he was never seen again.

9. Kerry Owens (forever-unfulfilled)

Yet another to fall prey  to that terrible enemy we call time, Kerry was a massive contender from  the start, warning herself a fourth place in the auditions. Although it  was originally her husband, John, who signed up for this mission, his  untimely death meant she had to go instead, which didn't work out so  well for her. At least she's reunited with John.

8. Sarah-Kate Wright (josie-tee) [7]

Stated by most to be the  leader of the mission group, Skate's reasons for entering the area were  unconventional to say the least. A failed actress desperate for both  cash and fame, she signed up for the mission as an attempt of gaining  both. Despite a bumpy audition, she came very close to the  Quarterfinals, falling just short of the top seven.

7. David Lowe (TheDarkHorse) [6]

These Games were a bumpy  ride for David, to say the least. With entries which were either at the  top or bottom of the pack, his lack of consistency eventually got the  best of him in Quarterfinals. Having signed up for the area as a means  of escaping a future he didn't know yet, he was definitely a relatable  character, and his performance throughout the Games was strong albeit  inconsistent.

6) Audrey Blackwood [21]

Despite a somewhat shaky  audition and first task, Audrey quickly proved that she was not someone  who should be overlooked. Despite a series of personal struggles in her  life, she was a likeable (albeit edgy) character with a very distinct  style, which brought her to a position in Quarterfinals which I think we  can all agree was completely deserved.

5) Alicia Washington (TheCatKing) [29]

One of the survivors of  the area and half of the beloved astrophysicist duo, even without her  third place ranking in audition, Alicia was a threat. With a dry sense  of humour and a brain to match, she snuck her way into our hearts, and  I'll be the first to admit that when she said "It was supposed to be fun,  damn it!" in her last entry, a little part of me broke. She put up a  valiant fight and, while she may have been eliminated from the  competition, she ought to be proud of what she's achieved.

And now, our finalists...

In fourth place... Lincoln Gardner [8], as written by  !

The  dark horse of this competition, Lincoln fought his way to this position  with all his might, and there's no denying that his position is  completely deserved! Although both he and the author had many doubts  about themselves, a strong performance on both sides led to a result of  which I hope they're proud!

In third place... Maria Thisbe [5] as written by   !

Our  first place audition and an author known for intellectual characters,  Maria was one of the most dangerous competitors from the start and,  despite the strength of the competition, it isn't much of a surprise to  see her make the finals in these Games! Unfortunately strength of  character doesn't make for fame, and Maria wounded up washed up and out  of the spotlight before long...

In second place... Kara Travis as written by !

And to think she almost  didn't sign up for the Games! Our winner of the 'Best Newbie' and 'Best  Character' awards, it's no denying that Kara is a standout character!  With a steady streak of entries that kept her safe from voting until  finals, and interesting interactions with many of the characters (and  one in particular... #Lara), she's come far from her days as an orphan  with nowhere to go. Not only has Kara made it out of the area alive, she  also managed to find herself a home.

Which means that our winner is...

Amari Fairland [4] as written by

She was out to continue  her track record of constantly making it to finals, and it looks as  though she may have overdone it! The adrenaline junkie single mother was  one to watch from the start and managed to dodge votes throughout the  competition, even collecting the bye in semifinals! With an entry which  brought tears to many an eye, and a knack with making words into works  of arts, it's my pleasure to declare her the winner of these Games
