There's no post on  Sunday, but the news is still all over the Internet. Be it on social  media, online newspapers - even Buzzfeed is in on it - articles come  flashing through. As always, they know very little, but they know what  truly matters: the news is great when it comes to keeping tabs on death.

TWO MORE DEAD IN AREA 51 - SHOULD THE GOVERNMENT PULL OUT OF EXPLORATIONS?

Calypso Arcanum [15]
Solace Endy [11]

----------

Things are quiet in the  Area. Although the group is back together, none of them is in a  particularly talkative mood; the shock of their discoveries and the  impact of the knowledge that a third of the original group is now  missing has left a ripple amongst them that nobody dares to address.

The little speaker  issued out to them begins to ring, and before long they are all gathered  up around it, beyond eager to hear its contents. What they here,  however, leaves them far less enthusiastic:

"It looks as though somehow the door to the area was locked from the inside. We have no way to get in."

----------------------

THE TASK:

- The group has just  found out that the government is not able to get them out of the Area.  Write the impact that this has on them. The goal of this task is to test  your characterization of a larger group, but mostly for me to see your  thought process and how much this news affects your character beyond the  surface of it.

THE WORD COUNT: 1,500 words.

ON VOTING: The  two weakest entries will go up for votes. One of those will die. For the  last time, the three strongest entries will be in contention for the  bye. As Kara Travis won the last bye, she and Maria Thisbe [5] are not eligible.

DUE DATE: Thursday, November 5th at 10 PM GMT.
