"D-Dad?"

Bettina stuttered.

"W-What are you doing here?!" Mr. Thompson gritted his teeth.

"I-I'm the one who should be asking you, D-Dad..."

Bettina was not that surprise with his reaction. But there is a side in his heart that he will be soft this time.

"Y-You can't be here Brook!"

But he's wrong.

"B-But Dad... It's my birthday today...I thought you'r-re Chris's surprise for me..."

Iyon ang naglalaro sa kaniyang isipan. Na ang kaniyang ama ang sinasabi ni Chris na surpresa nya dito. Akala nya, magiging maayos ang lahat pero...

"What the hell are you talking about?! No one must be seeing you're with me with that--" he head to toe him, with a loathing look "You better go now or else..."

Ang liit liit ng tingin ng sarili nyang ama sa kaniya. Nagtubig ang kaniyang mga mata. He really wanted to just fade like bubbles in the air.

"B-But Da--"

"Governor Brook Thompson!"

Someone interrupt, a whole bunch of reporters get around them. He really wanna cry right now. Pinalibutan sila nito at medyo nagitgit sya.

"Governor, sya na nga ba ngayon ang anak nyong si Brook Doughlas Thompson Jr?"

"Ikaw na ba ngayon si Brook Doughlas Thompson Jr?"

He shakes his head in anxiety, the cameras flashing to his face, everything was filled with flashes. He wanna leave this hell but he can't. Nanghihina sya sa mga nangyayari ngayon.

"Gov. Totoo po bang pinalayas nyo sya dahil sa tunay nyang kasarian?"

They keep on asking questions that makes his heart break and break.

"Itinakwil nyo nga ba sya Gov dahil sya ay isang bakla?"

"Ano po ba talaga ang nangyari kay Brook Doughlas Thompson Jr?"

Please, just kill me now. He thought. This will be the death of him. His father's escorts protect them from the gossip reporters.

"It's Okay. I'll answer them." he loosen his necktie as he speak.

The crowd alley. Waiting for his answer. Bettina somewhat wish that his father will protect him, just this once.
