BETTINA POV

2 years later

"Camera rolling."

I let out a big sigh and cross my legs. Nakaupo ako sa isang pink na wing chair, sa tabi ko ay si Miss Sunny sitting in a yellow wing chair too, she is wearing a pink wrap dress and a yellow cocktail hat. I am wearing a black mantle medium wool coat, a solid pink dress shirt, a black relaxed legs trousers and a black oxford shoes.

"3, 2, 1." the Director queue, "Action!"

"Good morning world!" Miss Sunny energetically greet while looking at the main camera, "Guess who's our guest today? It's no other than the newest and greatest cosmetologist in the whole country," she pause and look at me with a big smile,

"Bettina Thompson!" she exclaimed and I chuckle a bit,  "We are so blessed to have you here right now, so how's the feeling?" she ask.

Nagbikit balikat ako, "I feel blessed too, Miss Sunny." tugon ko at napanguso ng slight, "This is my first ever international interview, kinakabahan ako ghorl ng beri light."

Pumikit ako ng mariin ng makaramdam ng kaba sa dibdib. Sa mga nakaraan kasi, puro local channels lang ang interviews. Iba na ngayon at buong mundo na ang nakakapanood sa akin. Para bang kinakabayo ang puso ko sa bilis nito.

Tinapik ako ni Miss Sunny ng hawak ng card, "Girl, don't be nervous because you own the stage today. Cheer up!" aniya at umayos ng upo, "So, Bettina. Can you tell us your journey? How do your reach this top?" usisa nya pa at naging tutok sa isasagot ko.

Itong babaeng 'to, feeling close sa'kin pasalamat sya at mabuti akong tao. Kanina pa hampas ng hampas sa'kin, ibig ko na din syang hampasin ng lamesa kung walang'ya lang akez.

Palihim akong napairap at pinagdikit ang palad,
"Oh yes. My journey is like a wheel. There is an ups and downs, also...the feeling of giving up was present but the most is the hope to fight and continue to reach this goal. I never imagined to be this successful. It was all like a gambling, you bet for the future and you did your best to make it work, it's just that I try and see the progress, luckily I succeed." pag-iingles ko at napaisip, "Pero alam mo Miss Sunny? The progress really makes sense, I know myself better now, that is the real success. And being you called a 'famous' is just a bonus." dagdag ko pa.

Napataas ang isa kong kilay ng pumalakpak ang mga tao sa loob ng studio. Kitang kita ko ang mga bilib na bilib na vakla sa baba, aba, ako pang si Bettina magpapatalo sa inglesan sa kaharap kong dilawan ngayon? Duh!

Namangha ang bruha, "Wow. Looks like you really participated a lot of contest, Bettina." panghuhula nya at napaisip kunyare.

"Korak!" kusang pumilintik ang aking kamay.

Tumango pa sya at sumingkit ang mata, "Yeah. May we know who is your inspiration to this journey?"

Di rin sya tsismosa hane? Ang daming tanong. Paghindi malaki ang binayad sa'kin dito--char.

Syempre, sumingkit din ang kyot kong mata at napaisip, "Hmm..." napatingin ako sa harap ng stage at doon ko nakita ang mga naglalakihang ngiti ng mga taong mahal na mahal ko, "My family."

"Nandito ba sila ngayon?" tanong pa ni Miss Sunny.

Tumango ako ng isang beses,
"Yes po. Ayon sa gilid!" itinuro ko sila habang humahagikgik, "Hello mga vakla! Nasa tv na tayo!" sabi ko at nagtawanan sila.
