Nothing is Fair in Life

*Loooooong chapter*

The next day Dec woke up to find Ant fast asleep in his bed. He couldn't believe all that happened yesterday. Everything went too fast and blurry for him. One time Ant was hugging and cheering him up and the next time he was shouting at him. Dec has understood why Ant was so angry. And he is feeling guilty that he lied. But Ant's response to it was so scary that he didn't know how to respond to it.

But nothing was scarier than Ant's tear-filled eyes as he tried to breathe. Dec would have given everything up * at that moment to keep Ant safe. And that's why he was so angry when Ant confronted him about Andrew. But thinking about Ant's condition...  to be held by someone who you hate the most... Dec can clearly relate to the disgust Ant must have felt.

He sighs heavily and goes into the shower. That was what he most wanted after all those dramas - literally and figuratively happened yesterday. A few minutes later, he walks out of the shower to see Ant sat up on his bed, rubbing his eyes.

Dec: "You alright?"

Ant: "Yeah. Just so tired"

Dec: "I think you need to rest"

Ant: "Rest?! The second set of competitions starts next week"

Dec: "You will be of no use if you are sick"

Ant: "I am of no use anyways, Gino and John are eating my head!! They still need improvement with the characters and are convinced that Mac needs more screen time"

Dec: "What do you think?"

Ant: "I may as well scrap the play than do that"

Dec: "Anth!"

Ant: "What Dec? It's suicidal!  They don't see how he stiffens every time you are near him! I can clearly see the nervousness in him. There were times when I nearly shouted at him for that"

Dec: " I will talk to him"

Ant: "You better"

Dec walks to him and leans to him. Ant stiffens at that.

Dec: "Just checking your burns. It's healing. You didn't change it yesterday?"

Ant: "Well, that was the last thought in my mind yesterday, to be honest. And also, it's actually healing. So I don't think I need them anymore"

Dec: "It is. Anth... Relax. You will make yourself sick"

Ant: "What's the time? Damn! We will be late for college. I will get ready soon"

Dec watched as Ant rushed through his chores and sighed
Just let me take care of you, Anth....

Reaching the college, Dec is met with Stephen, alone and sulking.

Dec: "What happened to David?"

Stephen: "Good morning to you too and yes, I had a good night's sleep"

Dec: "Wow, that angry? What happened?"

Stephen: "Where is Ant Mcpartlin?"

Dec: "Went to meet Philip. Stevie, what is it?

Stephen: " It's nothing"

Dec: "It's something to do with David, right? Did he...I am sorry but did he hurt you or you know..."

Stephen: "No! Oh no, no..he...well... he is not even with me, now...so-"

Dec: "Wait, what?"
