i did write this while listening to let go so um, get some tissues.
---
"That's not how it went at all," Yoongi huffed. "I was there, I would know."
"Yeah, you're not the one who got a nose bleed," you defended, throwing your straw at Hoseok.
"I still feel really bad about that," Namjoon grinned sheepishly. You waved a hand in the air, tossing the thought aside.
"I was due for an injury anyway. I hadn't gotten one in a while," you giggled.
The eight members of the Kim household were sitting in the living room around the coffee table that was littered with empty glasses, soda cans, chip bags, and ice cream cartons. A box of tissues was in the center, just newly opened, waiting for someone to break. And though it all seemed like you eight were having a grand old time, really each one of you was on the verge of tears, waiting for someone to turn the faucet just a little bit more.
It was Jin's last night with you guys. His wedding was tomorrow and he would no longer be living with you. You thought it wouldn't be that hard to get over since his new house was just down the road, but when you realized that today would be the last day of having him just down the hall, you had squeezed the life out of Jimin's arm as you gripped it to prevent from crying. And you weren't the only one.
So, in case it was the last you eight would be together like this ever again, you reminisced all the different memories shared between each other from before you were born to just the other day.
Taehyung looked at the clock. "It's almost midnight. We probably need to head to bed. We all have a busy day tomorrow, some more than others."
No one budged. Not even Taehyung.
"This is our season finale," Jimin murmured. "Like we were just talking about the last episode of The Office. This is our office. This is our last episode."
"I hate you," Jungkook growled, grabbing the first tissue from the box. He quickly cleared his face before sighing and looking up. As soon as his eyes met Jin's, though, he broke down again, hanging his head as his body shook with tears.
"No, this is the second to last episode," Hoseok said. "Where you know the ending is coming so you're still sad, but you still have hope because it's not here yet."
"Holy crap, okay." It was your turn to grab a tissue and dab away the (haters) tears.
"Hoseok, really?" Yoongi sighed.
Hoseok shrugged, his eyes a light shade of pink. You could tell he trying hard not to break.
Jin exhaled sharply. "Guys, please." He chuckled a bit, seeing how all his siblings were struggling to keep their composure. "It's not that bad, is it?"
All fourteen pairs of eyes looked at his and the oldest grabbed the third tissue. "Okay, it is, never mind."
"I just didn't expect it to happen this quickly," you said, grabbing another tissue for Jungkook beside you. "I thought we would have more time."
Taehyung nodded, choosing to wipe away his tears with his fingers. He didn't say anything, too afraid of causing himself to cry more.
"But we'll still be here for each other," Namjoon stated. "None of us are going to far away. As of right now, anyway. We're all still right here on the same street."
"Hyung, do you promise to visit when you can?" Jimin asked, doing the same as his twin.
"Of course, Jimin," Jin reassured. "I'll come every morning before work, how about that?"
Jimin nodded before choking on a sob.
"Jimin," you whined, beginning to cry more at seeing him. The tears wouldn't stop and you began to sob quietly. Hoseok followed after you, grabbing a few tissues. Jungkook did the same while Namjoon took one and handed Taehyung another.
Jin looked at his oldest little brother, the one that had shared a room with him ever since he was born. "You aren't crying?"
Yoongi shrugged. "I don't cry, hyung. You do. So it's my job to stay calm."
Jin shoved him toward Namjoon. "Dang it, Yoongi. You made it worse."
"Uh-huh," Jungkook murmured. You laughed slightly at him before taking his face in your hands and rubbing his tears away with your eyes. You looked at him and turned away.
"Why am I like this?" you cried. It was the truth. If one sibling cried, you would always be the next one since you couldn't bear to see one your brothers in pain.
"I'm not going to bed until Yoongi cries," Hoseok said from behind a pillow he was using to guard his view so he wouldn't cry more.
"How do you know I'm not crying?" Yoongi asked. "You can't even see me." (okay so I guess my emotions were all over the place writing this because i misspelled yoongi. his name is now yonogi)
"I'll feel it in the air," the older responded quickly.
You pouted. "Yoongi, you won't have anyone to share a room with," you began, wanting no one to be left out of the crying-fest. "You'll be the oldest of the household now."
"You won't get to sleep in," Taehyung added.
"I think that's something worth crying over," Jungkook agreed.
"Stop it," Yoongi scolded.
"Jin's leaving!" you cried. Somehow saying it made you cry harder. "That wasn't meant to make me cry, what the heck."
"You're mean," Yoongi huffed. "Trying to make me cry. You should be ashamed of yourself."
"Wait." Namjoon took a dry corner of his tissue and pushed it on the inner corner of Yoongi's eye before he could swat him away. Namjoon looked at the now wet corner and grinned. "Ladies and gentlemen-"
"We got 'em," a few of you finished.
Yoongi rolled his eyes, sniffling before he stood and trudged away. "I'm going to bed. No one respects me in this house anymore."
"Yoongi, I love you," you called after him cutely. "Good night!"
Despite it being a low voice, Yoongi sang back an "I love you, too" and you grinned.
"So, I guess we all go to bed now?" Hoseok asked. "Hyung cried."
Jin shrugged. "I guess so." He stood and stretched, followed by the twins who had been squeezed onto one chair with each other.
"Oh, so now we can cry in peace?" Namjoon joked, coming to his feet as well. You and Jungkook followed suit, careful to keep the blanket you were sharing wrapped around your shoulders. Hoseok also stood, collecting his phone and a few more tissues just in case.
You seven that were left exchanged good nights and once you had given them all a good night kiss, you trudged up the stairs and into your room. You looked at your bed. You could still hear "good nights" ringing off the walls in the hall. You shook your head before slipping back into the hallways. You noticed the oldest was opening the door to his shared room. You ran up to him, your bare feet padding the floor. "Hey, Jin," you whispered. You collided into his body with a tight hug. You felt him pat your back before ruffling your hair.
"You want to sleep with me?" Jin asked, taking the words from your mouth.
You nodded. "I guess after sixteen years of it, you're used to it."
Jin chuckled. "Well, come on," he beckoned. "I'm just as tired as you."
