After everyone left and Willow was settled, she offered if I wanted to watch Netflix and she moved so I could join her in her hospital bed.

God, she was so beautiful even if she felt her worst.

We ended up watching some sort of action movie, I didn't care what it was, I just wanted time to spend with Willow.

Willow almost melted into my scrubs as she got comfortable when the movie started.

I would look to her as she tried to get into the movie, but she seemed super exhausted, so I would understand if she fell asleep.

We got about half way through the movie when I looked next to me and saw Willow with her eyes closed and still laying on me, so peacefully.

However, as the end credits came through I felt her wake back up and act like she was watching it the whole the time.

I asked her how she liked the movie, but I just got a "mhmm"  mumble in response.

I was admiring her beauty and peacefulness until I saw her eyes roll to the back of her head, setting the heart monitors off, flatlining.

I went for her pulse as nurses ran into her room.

I couldn't find one.

Willow didn't have a heartbeat, pulse, and was passed out cold.

What happened, we were simply watching a movie and she fell asleep and woke back up and seemed fine.

This can't be happening, again.

If her heart keeps on stopping, what could happen for the future.

Is she going to need a heart transplant.

"Sir, we need you to get out of here." A nurse interrupted my thoughts and I somehow found my way into the hallway, so that they could save her life.

I stood at the nurses station watching the commotion in her room.

I heard them call a code blue to Willow's room, along with a 911 page for the Chief.

I saw the Chief run down the hall and into Willow's room.

I gripped the side of my scrub pants, out of worry for hoping that Willow will be okay, turning my knuckles white.

I just stood frozen watching the nurses and the Chief try to save her life.

I heard a loud, CLEAR, before I watched as Willow's body shook violently.

They did that several more times with chest compression until they finally got a heartbeat and I was able to release a breath that I didn't know I was holding.

As soon as the nurses walked out of her room, I ran in.

I immediately looked to the Chief, who was taking Willow's vitals.

Willow had a tube down her throat to help her breath and was fast asleep.

"Her vitals are stable and she's sedated." The Chief began to explain. But I could tell the Chief had more to say.

"However, it seems her heart isn't strong enough and she's going to need a new one."
