Willow's POV (still)

The Chief didn't answer my question. And seemed to be avoiding telling me anything.

"What are you not telling me?" I asked, starting to get frustrated. He obviously knew something about Noah that I didn't know.

I just want to know if my Noah is okay.

"There was an incident that involved Noah. And he had to have surgery. I believe he is getting discharged today." The Chief informed me, in the broadest terms without any explanation.

"What!? Someone take me to him! I need to see him!" I pleaded, ready to get out of this hospital bed myself.

"Willow! You just had a heart transplant. You need to relax and rest." The Chief told me firmly, but that wasn't going to stop me.

"Please, I desperately need to see him. I just want to make sure that he's okay." I tried so hard to convince him to let me see Noah.

I was legit about to cry.

"Please."

"I'll be back. Don't you dare think about moving, Willow. Dr. Reynolds, watch her and page Dr. Ranson so she can do a full work up before her plane departs." The Chief ordered, before straight up walking out of my room, not giving any indication to what he's doing.

Dr. Sam sat on a chair next to my bed while filling out a random chart.

"Is Noah, like your boyfriend or something?" Dr. Sam asked me, with an unnecessary attitude.

"He was. But then, I didn't hear from him for a few days and then all this stuff happened. And I didn't even know that he got hurt, I still don't know what even happened with him-" I stopped myself from pouring my heart out about Noah to some random doctor that I don't even know and who seemed to give me attitude out of nowhere.

I just sat in my bed contemplating about Noah, while Dr. Sam did whatever he was doing, I don't care.

"I'm sorry, about your boyfriend. At least he's alive and well now." Dr. Sam said, his voice full of sympathy.

Dr. Sam kept on trying to talk to me about random things. Maybe he felt bad for giving me attitude a few minutes ago.

I began studying, not doing anything better with my life, I wasn't going to talk to this salty but super hot doctor.

I have my own super hot dentist that loves me and isn't salty about everything.

I tried to concentrate into my study guide and textbook, reviewing so that I can pass my final exam and begin my clinical hours next year.

"What're you reading about?" Dr. Sam, asked me while hovering over my shoulder.

I scooted away from him and simply answered him.

"The stages of tooth decay."

"Ah." He answered, but waiting a few minutes before he spoke again.

"I actually have been having a problem with one my back molars, but I can't seem to find a dentist around here that will accept my insurance. Could you possibly take a look for me?"

This is seriously not happening right now.

"You want me, a dental student, to look at your tooth?" I asked, completely shocked that he would even ask a student to look at his tooth.

I mean yeah, I'm about to work in a clinic all of next year, but he doesn't know that. He probably just knows that I'm a dental student.

He can't be serious right now, unless he was in pain, but I wouldn't know if I didn't look.

And I have to get used to this to become a dentist.

"Uhm. Okay...come sit in front of me, with your back to me. And watch out for all my lines and IV." I explained, in which he eagerly put his stuff down and came over to the bed and did as I said.

"Now just lay back onto my legs." I instructed as I sat cross-legged, and grabbed my phone from the bed table.

When his head was in my lap, I tried to look away from his blissful honey eyes and I took one deep breath, before actually going through with this.

"Okay, so you said it was a back molar. Open, please." I said, turning on the flashlight on my phone.

When he opened his mouth, his teeth were as perfect as his eyes. His whole face was perfect. And I bet his smile was gorgeous.

"This is really weird for me to say but you have really nice teeth." I said, trying to hide my humility through a laugh.

"Well thank you." He said, sending me that gorgeous smile I knew he had, before opening his mouth back up.

I looked to his right molar seeing a small cavity forming, but nothing too far progressed.

His honey eyes kept on luring my gaze towards them and away from his mouth.

Every single time my eyes looked at his, we would make eye contact and I would just get lost looking into his gold and amber eyes, seeing the sweet chocolate color that would absorb his natural orbs that made him who he was.

I just felt my face draw closer to his and I would get lost looking deep into the golden rays of his eyes forever.

I was so absorbed into him and his perfect face and perfect amber eyes that I didn't even notice when someone walked into my room, until they spoke up.

"Willow, what-what're you doing?"

Noah.
