"Don't hate on me for this suggestion BUT, the clinic is open. We could sneak in there and Dr. Clemens will never know." Noah suggested.
I highly doubt that.
"I think we should go there." Noah said before I looked at him.
I grabbed the largest hoodie I had of Noah's, grabbed my sunglasses, my phone, and my bag and started walking out of my apartment, with Noah quick in tow.
I walked quickly to the clinic wanting to get this over with, until Noah grabbed my hand and slowed me down.
"I don't know why you're hiding in disguise, all of us are worried for tomorrow, a lot of us should be there. They won't question you walking in, we all need the practice." Noah said as he kissed my hand, hoping to calm me, but I'm not taking his hoodie off it's too comfortable and smells very strongly of him.
When we got to the clinic, there was nobody in the waiting room, and all of the rooms were taken except for one, which happened to be Dr. Clemens' exam room.
We are definitely not going to use that.
I guess we have to wait for one to open up.
Noah went up to the front desk, seeing a girl I don't recognize but Noah seemed to know them, apparently.
"Is there any exam room available?" Noah said with his charm and perfect smile.
He was trying to flirt to get a room.
Wow.
He's left me kinda speechless.
"Aww. Really. That would be very appreciated." Noah said with a smile before walking back towards me.
"She said that she'll go open one right now." Noah said.
"Oh yeah, I'm sure she did." I said, mockingly.
I watched the girl leave the desk and go down the long hallway.
A few minutes later, she returned, but instead of getting gratitude from Noah for opening a room for him, I pulled Noah closer to me and started making out with him right in front of the girl.
I heard a slight gasp from the girl and I felt Noah smirk as we continued to kiss.
I broke off the kiss and grabbed Noah's hand before walking towards the room, not even looking at the girl.
I went into the room and sat in the dental chair throwing my bag on the floor.
Noah walked in right after me,
"You know you're cute when you're jealous." He said before I sent him a look.
"Just shut the door and do this already." I said pushing down the chair myself, showing that I was ready to get this over with.
" Nuh uh. No ma'am." Noah said moving the chair back up.
"If we're already here, we're going to do this properly and practice correctly for tomorrow." Noah said making me roll my eyes.
This can't be happening.
Noah washed his hands, quietly got his gloves on without snapping them (Thank god), and tied a mask around his face.
"The chair's going back." Noah said politely, but also mocking the manner of warning the patient that the chair is going back because Dr. Clemens said to comfort the patient at all times. I think Dr. Clemens needs to take his own advice.
Noah moved the light, got the needle from his backpack, and readied it.
"Alright. I'm going to count to three and then it's going in. It might help to close your eyes and avoid looking." Noah said, still mocking patient comfort.
But I was getting tired of it.
I know he's going to have to act like that tomorrow, but for now I just want him to comfort me like a boyfriend would.
"Noah. I know how you're supposed to act in front of a patient, and I know what's going to freaking happen tomorrow. So please, get this over with and comfort me as my boyfriend." I said looking up at him.
He nodded his head in agreement.
"I was just practicing." He laughed off.
I did close my eyes and took a deep breath before I opened my mouth.
"Please don't count." I said as I heard a door open.
There was a a brief moment of silence.
"Ah. Practicing, I see."
I didn't need to open my eyes to know who it was.
"Of course, Dr. Clemens." I heard Noah say.
I still didn't dare look.
"Well I was just checking in on all of my students who were here. The exam room where you all is assigned will be posted in the lobby tomorrow morning. Be prompt and prepared, Mr. Gray and Ms. Samuels." Dr. Clemens said before I heard him leave and the door close.
As soon as the door closed, I opened my eyes and looked at Noah.
"Well, that was fun. Take two." He said with his charming, pearly-white smile.
