Noah's POV
I had hoped Willow's appointment went well.
Hopefully well enough that our appointment will go well.
I sit in the ready area, looking to the empty chair next to me for the patient, but Willow is being tested right now.
I just hope my hand doesn't act up during her appointment.
I know I can pass as long as she's okay and as long as my hand is okay.
I watched the Chief walk out and he gave me a thumbs up and a smile before walking away.
I'm sure Willow will want to see the Chief after our appointment.
I saw Dr. Clemens approach me, coming out of the hallway.
"Mr. Gray, where's your patient?" He asked confused that the seat next to me was empty.
"Uhhh." I looked down the hall and saw Willow almost running behind Dr. Clemens.
"Right behind you, Doctor." I said, seeing him turn around to face Willow.
"Ms. Samuels?"
"Dr. Clemens." She responded as a matter of fact before she took a seat next to me.
Time to go into dentist mode.
"Alright, Ms. Samuels, if you want to follow me to the last exam room on the right." I said, Willow and I standing up, while Dr. Clemens gets the look of shock off his face.
Willow already knew where she was going, so I just followed behind her as she took her white coat off.
"If you will, sit on the dental chair please." I said to her as we walked and I closed the door behind Dr. Clemens.
Willow was a little hesitant to get in the chair but she didn't show it. I wanted to comfort her but I had to act completely professional.
I brought up her records on the computer, asking her the pleasantries of how her day was going but she simply answered "fine" and that was it.
I washed my hands, slipped on a pair of gloves without snapping them knowing Willow hated that, and tied a mask around my face.
She had her hands in her lap but she didn't do any of her nervous habits, I'm sure she was freaking out on the inside.
"Alright so I'm just going to look real quick and then we'll get started. And the chair is going back." I said, seeing Willow shift ever so lightly as the chair was tilted to a 180 degrees.
"Open please." I said, smiling as Willow's nervous eyes finds my hopefully comforting ones.
Willow opened her mouth and closed her eyes.
I looked at all of her teeth, making sure that was her only cavity. It was but it was only a few days away from a root canal.
"Your stitches look good." I whispered as Dr. Clemens seemed confused and looked up from his clipboard to Willow and then her records on the computer.
"You can temporarily close your mouth while I prepare-" I stopped myself not wanting to make Willow worried but I had to tell her.
"While I prepare the anesthetic." I said seeing Willow take a deep breath and then close her mouth. She didn't dare open her eyes.
I got the cotton ball full of jelly and numbed her gums, seeing no reaction from my hand.
I got the needle ready, stretching out my fingers and rolling my wrist, hoping that nothing happens with my hand or wrist.
I flexed my muscles, not wanting anything to happen while I injected the needle into Willow's mouth.
"I'm injecting the needle in 3......2......1." I said, flexing my muscles, injecting the needle into her gums and seeing Willow cringe, but just a little.
I retracted the needle once I pushed all of the anesthetic into Willow's gums.
I grabbed the next needle, and flexed my muscles once again.
"And the final needle in 3........2........1." I said, seeing Willow shift now instead of cringe, but she basically stayed where she was.
"You did great. Now we'll wait for that to work." I said retracting the needle, letting me hand and muscles relax causing them to slightly shake but I flexed my muscles again and quickly occupied myself, cleaning up the needles and seeing Willow open her eyes.
They had tears in them but she quickly blinked them away and I don't think Dr. Clemens even saw. I didn't think he saw my hand either until he spoke up.
"I know I'm not supposed to interfere." Dr. Clemens said catching both of our attentions.
Oh god. Which part did he see. My hand or Willow's fear.
"Did you have other dental work done recently?" He asked, giving both of us a quick sigh of relief.
"Yes, Doctor. Wisdom teeth removal." Willow hesitantly said, seeing Dr. Clemens move closer to us.
"Where did you get it done, if you don't mind me asking." He asked.
What was he getting at.
"My uncles office. His oral surgeon did it." Willow said slowly, you could tell the anesthetic was working, because she didn't speak clearly.
"Do you mind if I have a look?"

A/N
Hello there,
Since we're nearing the end in the next few chapters, I'm going to put a question at the end of the chapters.
You should respond so I can get to know my readers better before this story comes to a close.
Q: What's is the medical professional that you hate the most, like they make you super nervous or you just don't like going to them?
A: I really don't like dentists, never have, never will. They just weird me out and are always super close in your bubble. They make me feel so vulnerable.
Thanks for reading and all of your support.
(:
