When we got to the clinic, it was slammed with people.

All the chairs were filled, there was a line leading to the front desk, and people were standing all over the place.

There was medical students everywhere, random people, I'm guessing who are patients, everywhere.

I didn't see the Chief, but I was early anyways.

Noah checked in both of us, as the dentists.

And I waited in the long line to check myself in as Noah's patient.

We saw Dr. Clemens walk in once, but then he immediately disappeared into another exam room.

I checked the board, seeing I was in exam room 4 and Noah was in Dr. Clemens exam room, which we both thought was kinda weird, but just went with it.

Nobody was in exam room 4, prior to me, so I went in there to set it up how I wanted it.

Noah couldn't really set his up because he was in Dr. Clemens room and you don't move Dr. Clemens's stuff.

Once I was pleased with the exam room, we went to go sit in the lobby, if we could find a seat.

We watched people come and go, until I finally saw the Chief walk in, wearing his scrubs, but no white coat. I wonder if he had a surgery today or something.

"Good luck, babe. You got this." Noah said with a quick peck on the cheek before I went to go meet the Chief.

I hope nobody tries to eye fuck Noah while I'm gone.

The Chief looked in distress as he stood in line, almost to the front desk.

"Chief!" I said, catching his attention as his face seemed relieved.

"Well don't you look all professional and like an actual dentist." He said with a smile.

"Are you ready?"

"Ready for this pain to go away." The Chief said sympathetically.

"I completely understand, considering Noah has to do the same exact thing to me in 30 minutes." I said, before stepping back while the Chief checked himself in.

We went to the ready area because he had 5 minutes before it was our turn.

The Chief only seemed slightly nervous, I think he was just wanting to get this over with.

"Did you have a surgery this morning?" I asked him, just making small talk.

"Well I didn't have one planned. But then a trauma came in and it was a pretty severe brain bleed and all my neurosurgeons were busy, so I just did it and hoped that I would make it here in time, and I did which is good." The Chief explained, but before I could make any more small talk, Dr. Clemens popped around the corner.

This is really happening.

Dr. Clemens said he would be watching us the whole time but to not act like he was there.

"Okay, Chief. Er, Mr. Williamson. Right this way, towards exam room 4." I said, standing and showing the Chief the way, with Dr. Clemens right behind us.

Once we walked in the door, I looked at everything, seeing it just the way it was when I left it.

"If you just wanna take a seat, Mr. Williamson." I said with a smile as I let Dr. Clemens slip into the room before I closed the door.

Dr. Clemens took a seat in one of the visitor chairs on the edge of the room.

I went to the computer and pulled up the Chief's records, even though we already discussed his medical history, but it had to be there just in case.

"How are today, Mr. Williamson?" I asked, washing my hands, slipping on gloves, and tying a mask around my face.

Patient's comfort is the main priority.

The Chief went on to just say he was fine, and nothing else really.

"The chair is going back." I said as I saw the Chief shift slightly.

"So you say, you have a cavity on one of your back molars." I ask as the Chief just nodded.

I moved to grab my tools.

"Open, please."

The Chief couldn't be more of a perfect patient.

I mean I wasn't shocked.

He was literally perfect.

He didn't move, didn't complain.

He immediately opened his mouth, and did anything I asked him within a few seconds.

He didn't even shift when I used needles or the drill.

He was the most perfect patient any dentist would ever want to have as a patient.

Maybe I should've let Noah have him as a patient because I know I will not be like this.

After I finished the Chief's filling, I gave him a cleaning, and the appointment was so quick and simple.

"Well Mr. Williamson, you're all done. And because you were a patient of The Dental Academy, you're appointment was free. But please, fill out the survey at the front desk for my use of what I could do better next time." I said with a smile as I brought the chair up and cleaned my area.

"Thank you, Ms. Samuels." The Chief said as he walked out of the door, Dr. Clemens right behind him.

I have to hurry and take off my gloves and wash my hands, so that way I'm not late for Noah.

Dr. Clemens will literally kill Noah's grade if I'm late.

"Be prompt and prepared." He said yesterday.

I most definitely cannot be late.
