I don't think I'm mentally prepared to be in a dental office with crying kids the whole day.

Heck, I can't even handle not crying in a dental office.

Walking through the doors of my uncle's office, I will never realize how thankful I was for having my uncle be my dentist.

The childish walls of his office would always accompany my mind right before my dreaded name would be called.

My uncle has had the same hygienist for the past 15 years, which was helpful because my uncle would do my cleaning and the hygienist would just be sitting right next to me, trying to at least calm my nerves.

I've never had anybody for a dentist other than my uncle. My own father hates giving me checkups and cleanings, he's tried once and let's just say it didn't go over well. But all my other siblings, they all prefer him over anybody else. I just don't see how.

As Noah and I walked through my uncle's office, o was trying my hardest not to gag from the sterile scent.

You know how bad a dentist office or even a hospital can smell like antiseptic.

I hate it, I really do.

Since last time we saw my uncle, we weren't at this main office, we were at a fellow's of his office.

This main office is my favorite and where I feel most comfortable, I'm happy that my uncle was at this location today and not at any other farther locations.

I walked towards the front desk, seeing a new and unfamiliar face working.

"Hi" I spoke up, waiting to see the receptionist make eye contact with me, "I'm here to see Dr. Collins, he's my uncle."

The lady gave me a disapproving look before it clicked as to who I was.

"Oh yes, he said you guys can go on back to your room." The lady explained before helping the patient behind us that was trying to check in.

Noah looked at me very confused before he hesitantly followed my lead through a door to the hallway.

"You have your own room?" Noah asked me stunned as I walked up to a room with a number 5 and a wave sticker on it.

"Well it's not my room, but it's my preferred exam room. Whenever I had appointments, I would be only in this room. I just feel more comfortable in it, I guess." I explained as I opened the door, immediately getting greeted with a breeze of salty and beach scents.

I grinned as I looked at the exam room, still the way I left it, a complete beach theme covered the whole room.

The cabinets were covered with the painting that covered the whole room, even the dental chair was a new, sleek light blue color that just accented the wannabe sandy colored ground.

The only things sticking out from the beach theme was the gloves and the dental tools, everything else was painted and momentarily hid what they truly are which created a comfort for me.

I pushed Noah towards the dental chair while he was distracted by the completely decorated room.

"You're going first." I said searching in the all too familiar cabinets for the light blue masks and gloves that accompanied this room.

Noah sat in the dental chair as if it was nothing, not being bothered at all, maybe this room gave him some kind of comfort too.

I almost forgot the best part before putting my gloves on.

I quickly reached for my phone and YouTubed calming ocean sounds before turning my volume up and setting it on the counter.

Noah seemed completely mesmerized by the room, obviously it was my favorite for a reason.

Although as I snapped my gloves on, I caught Noah's attention from being mesmerized and he slightly jumped not expecting it.

I couldn't help but laugh as he gave me a pity face in return for scaring him.

As I slowly moved the chair down, I leaned over and kissed Noah through my mask.

Noah returned the kiss, wanting a longer kiss than a simple peck but somebody needs their teeth checked.

I adjusted myself on the stool and winked before waiting for a response from Noah.

"Open please, cutie."
