As Noah finished cleaning my teeth, he cleaned up his stuff and took off his gloves and mask, but  he never moved the dental chair up, so I gave him a confused look as I sat up.

But Noah gently pushed my shoulders back down leaving me even more confused, until I felt his soft lips come crashing down on mine.

I was enjoying this sweet moment, I really was, but I was worried my uncle was going to walk in at any second.

Noah seemed to realize that too as we slowly broke off our kiss and he moved the chair up.

"Minty." He said as he gave one last final peck on the lips.

I got out of the chair and lent on Noah while we waited for my uncle to get back.

Within a few minutes, he walked in, causing me to move off of Noah as he went to go sit in the dental chair.

"Dr. Winters said he will be here in 5 minutes." My uncle scolded at me as his attention diverted back to Noah.

I honestly was just watching how calm Noah was being. He didn't flinch or cringe or even moved, he was just perfectly still.

Until, my uncle mentioned about how his gums were inflamed, causing both me and Noah to become uneasy.

Noah didn't comment on anything he just let my uncle continue.

A few minutes later, the young and fit brunette that I know to be Dr. Winters opens the exam room door to collect me.

"Ah, Willow. Long time no see. Let's go." He said as he left as he quickly as he entered.

I hesitantly got up and followed Dr. Winters to his specific exam room.

"So what happened?" He asked me as I took a seat in the dental chair, again.

"Procrastination." I simply answered although I knew he wasn't satisfied with my answer.

Dr. Winters snapped  on a pair of gloves and put a mask on coming over to me with those disgusting pink molds that everybody hates.

As I was about to argue, Dr. Winters stopped me and went to go insert the molds into my mouth.

I just sat there, my mouth full of the most disgusting stuff, watching Dr. Winters get the braces, rubber bands, and brackets out.

I was so happy when time was up and both molds were done.

Dr. Winters reclined the chair down and I was starting to get a little anxious again.

Orthodontists don't worry me as much since they usually don't hurt, but I still feel completely vulnerable in front of them, just sitting on the horrid chair.

"Open please." He said in which I hesitantly did, looking away as his eyes focused on my mouth.

I never realized how young Dr. Winters was for his job, I mean he's looked young ever since I first got braces my sophomore year of high school.

He goes to grab the glue and brackets but he stops to make a comment.

"You know, you were only a few months away from getting headgear."

"What, headgear, you've got to be kidding me." I argued back, shocked.

"I'm kidding Willow, but you did a lot of damage not getting your retainer." He commented before coming back over to me with the materials.

Within 15 minutes, I had braces, again.

Dr. Winters recliner the chair back up as he began to clean up.

I really hated braces, and I'm not very happy to have the same mouth pain back again.

I wonder what it'll be like for people to see a senior dental student, with braces.

I stood up and went to the door, but it was already being opened by Noah.

"There's my adorable brace face."
