Chapter 34: Friend
~~Minji's P.O.V.~~
"Who are you?!"
I hugged Neon "I'm her friend!"
The shocked Neon hugged me back "That's right! She's my friend!!"
The big man shook his head "Your Father didn't allow you to have friends. It's too risky."
In the midst of the man's statement, I felt something shivering under me. Surprised, I looked at the crying Neon.
She hugged me tighter and looked down with tears cascading her face "W-Why can't I? D-Do you even know.... Do you even know..... H-How lonely I feel?! I wanted a friend! And now that I have one, you're gonna take her away from me?"
I widened my eyes "Neon..."
"NOW THAT I HAVE ONE, I WON'T EVER LET GO OF HER!!"
...
Silence~
The man looked down in guilt "I apologize for my obnoxiousness... Miss, please take her to her room.."
I just nodded and as soon as we turned around, I felt an indescribable glare on the back of my head
I sweatdropped.
So that's how it is huh...?
I just shrugged it off and continued to take her to her room
I made her sit on her bed and as soon as she did, the lady that always monitors her every move appeared "Oh my goodness!! I'm so sorry Neon-sama, I went to the restroom without you knowing.. I'm so sorry..." She apologized and bowed 90 degrees
Neon calmed down and wiped her tears "It's okay.. I have my friend with me anyways..." She smiled
The lady looked at me confused "Uh... Ma'am, I'm gonna need you to go out-"
Neon suddenly pulled on my arm "She's staying here!!" She pouted
I just chuckled and gently pulled away "She's right. I need to do something anyways..."
She seemed down but nodded nevertheless. I ruffled her hair "Be a good girl Kay?"
She smiled and saluted "Hai!"
I exited the room, bidding the lady goodbye while doing so. While walking through the halls, I suddenly heard a familiar voice "Oh, and your hired!"
I stopped in my tracks to look at Neon. The lady also looked at her in shock "Neon-sama!"
Neon giggled "It's okay! As long as I have a friend, I don't need her to give me treasures!"
The lady was speechless for Neon was acting weird today. I just chuckled "Well, thanks I guess. Take care!!" And waved at her
