They all looked at me with scared expressions on their face. Well, Deku and Kirishima looked scared while Todoroki looked worried. Bakugo just looked angry as always. I had to tell them as soon as I could, but I had to make it seem I was eager to get started to Overhaul. I had met up with them in a secret place where no one could track me down.
"What are we going to do?" Kirishima asked.
"We need to stay away from Overhaul if he ever shows his face," Deku said.
"What about Y/N? Your mission is to get our DNA samples, correct?" Todoroki asked.
"Yes."
"If she fails, who knows what Overhaul will do to her," Todoroki went on.
"You have a point," Deku said.
"Why don't we just kill this son of a bitch?" Bakugo asked.
"We just don't want to kill him without a plan of how we're going to do so," Kirishima said.
"He's right," Deku said. "We need some form of plan if we want to take down Overhaul once and for all."
"He is a big enemy that is standing in the way," I said. "And we need to take him down as quickly as we can."
"Y/N is right," Todoroki said. "The longer he's out and about, the harder it is going to be to get our hands on him. If he keeps moving around in these bases, then it's going to be harder to catch him."
"That is why Y/N needs to keep tabs on him," Bakugo said.
"If I spy on him, he'll catch on."
"You don't need to spy on him. Maybe see what he is doing every now and then," Deku said.
"You don't want to make it obvious to him that you're seeing what he's doing," Kirishima said.
"Understood." I looked down at my watch and sighed, "I better get going."
"Be safe," Deku said to me.
"I will," I said and walked out from where we were. I looked around to see if there was anyone watching. I put my mask on and walked out from where I was.
"Boss is not going to like that."
I turned and saw Chrono was standing right next to me.
"Chrono," I began.
"You're not going to let this one slip underneath his radar. I heard everything."
"Can I bargain with you?" I asked.
He seemed a bit interested, "With what?"
"If I can get them within the next few days and give them to Overhaul, you say nothing about what had happened here today. Deal?"
Chrono tapped his mask for a moment before nodding his head, "I will give you three days. If you fail to do so in those three days, I will tell Overhaul everything."
"I will not disappoint him."
"You better not," Chrono said and walked off.
I walked back to the base and sat down against a box. Overhaul wasn't back yet and I had some time to myself. I stood up and walked over to the bulletin board. There was a drawing for some sort of weapon. I couldn't really tell since the light was mostly over the desk. I reached over to grab the lamp, but I decided not to. If Overhaul noticed the light was not in a certain spot, he would know I tampered with it. I pulled out my phone and turned on the flashlight. It looked like a gun. I took a mental note of it and put my phone away when I heard the door opening up.
"Is she back?" Overhaul asked.
"Yes," said Chrono.
"Did she get the samples?"
"They were not out today. It seems the pro heroes want them to rest for now. Especially Deku."
"All I need is Deku and Todoroki. Kirishima and Bakugo are not a necessity, but would be greatly appreciated," Overhaul said. "She needs to draw them out."
"I think that would be hard for her, sir."
"I can think of a way to do that. Tomorrow, she's coming with us."
"Understood."
"Do we just sit here every night?" I asked.
"Not until Mimic can bring us food," Overhaul said.
"It just seems kind of boring just sitting around."
"When Mimic gets back, we're going to discuss what we're doing tomorrow. You're going to be coming with us."
"I am?" I asked.
"Yes. Tomorrow, we're attacking Kamino. It seems that place has a lot of relevance since that was when All For One and All Might both ended. All Might ended being the symbol of peace and All For One ended by being locked in jail. A lot of people are still talking about cleaning out the debris and stuff from the fight. It was a historic moment in hero history. That is why we're attacking such a place with such a big name. If that draws in Deku and Todoroki, you need to get their samples. This is your time to shine as the new villain here, Sun-Destroyer."
I looked down at the burn scar from the night he made me burn myself. I sighed and looked over at Overhaul. "I won't let you down, Overhaul."
"Good."
The door opened up and Mimic ran into the circle. He set all the bags down and looked over at Overhaul.
"Why am I doing all the damn work?" Mimic asked.
"Because you're small and not that noticeable. If Chrono or I went out, people would get suspicious and try to put us in jail."
"What about your new recruit here?" Mimic asked and pointed at me.
"We need to keep her on the down low until tomorrow. No one is going to get a preview of Sun-Destroyer before her debut. And I mean no one."
"Understood," said Mimic.
We all sat together and ate what Mimic had gotten from the market. I glanced over as Overhaul slipped his mask off. He moved it away from his mouth so he could eat. I tried to catch myself from looking over at him, but there was something about him not having his mask that made something inside me feel warm.
