The Imprisoned Hero

Chapter 22

I was in a completely dark space and my eyes were blindfolded. I had no clue why, but I guess it was to keep me from using my quirk and to see where I was. Some footsteps walked towards me. The person ripped the bandanna from my face. I looked around and waited for my eyes to adjust. 

"You're awake," he said.

"I've been awake," I said.

Chrono squatted down towards me, "I am going to keep you here until Overhaul comes back to being a villain. Until he comes back to his family."

"Are you talking about the eight precepts of death?" I asked.

Chrono nodded his head, "Yes."

"They're still alive?"

"We're all in prison no thanks to Endeavor. I was the only one to escape. Once I get Overhaul back, we're going to free the other members and take over the League and become the main villains pro heroes need to worry about."

"He will never change his ways," I said.

"Don't be so sure about Overhaul. He can divert you if you trust him too much."

A couple of days had passed and we were out patrolling Hosu. Most of the pro heroes and police officers were out and about trying to find Y/N. I was with Deku, Todoroki, and Momo. We were walking around the area where I knew Chrono knew the best. I was hoping to find her soon because Chrono will not take care of her if she needs something. 

"Do you think we'll find her?" Momo asked.

"I hope so. We need to find her quickly so we can take down Chrono," Deku said.

"We just need to look down every nook and search every cranny," Todoroki said. 

I was too focused on trying to find a place where Chrono would hide her. My hands were shaking in anger.

"Overhaul, are you ok over there?" Momo asked.

"I-I'm fine," I said trying not to let my voice tremble. 

"Overhaul?" Deku asked.

"Seriously, I am fine," my shoulders started to shake.

They stopped and I almost kept on walking. I turned around to see they were standing near an alleyway.

"What's up?" I asked and walked towards them. I looked down the alleyway and saw there was someone down there. I looked at the alleyway before cautiously walking down it. Deku put his hand on my chest and pushed me behind him.

"If anything goes wrong, you're the one who needs to get Y/N out of here," Deku said.

"You need to be the one to save her," Todoroki said from behind me. "Momo, stay out there in case he tries to run."

Momo nodded her head. We walked closer to the person to see there was some blood stains on their clothes. Some parts of their clothes were ripped. Deku walked closer to the person.

"Excuse me," Deku said.

The head shot up and looked at us. Since it was so dark, I couldn't see where it was looking.

"Welcome, Overhaul," Chrono said.

I looked behind me to see Chrono was holding Momo by the back of her hero outfit. She was like a rag doll in his hand. He must of gotten her with his quirk.

"Where's Y/N?" I asked and walked towards him. Todoroki held his arm around, preventing me from walking toward Chrono.

"She's right there," he said and pointed towards the corner.

We all looked over and saw the same person we saw when we first walked down here. I couldn't believe that was Y/N right now.

"Sunlight?" I asked and walked closely to her.

"Overhaul?" she whispered.

"You're not going anywhere!" Chrono yelled and his hour hand shot out from behind him. Deku and Todoroki jumped onto the walls, trying to avoid getting hit by Chrono's hour hand.

"Get Y/N out of here and run!" Todoroki yelled.

"What about you guys?" I asked.

"We'll be fine. He's after you," Deku said.

I nodded and picked her up. I put my hand onto the ground and a platform came up from underneath me. I jumped over the wall and ran towards downtown. Chrono turned towards me and dropped Momo onto the ground.

"Come back here!" he yelled.

I ran as fast as I could. Todoroki was chasing after Chrono. Deku got Momo somewhere safe before running after us. I knew downtown would be densely populated since it was a nice day. However, that didn't stop Chrono from trying to get Y/N from me. 

"How long until you can move again?" I asked her.

"Not for another thirty minutes."

"Hang on," I said.

"I'll try to."

I ran faster and looked behind me real quick. Todoroki had caught up to Chrono and was fighting him. Deku motioned for me to keep going. I made it to downtown Hosu and found Kirishima and Bakugo.

"Red Riot!" I yelled as I ran towards him.

Kirishima turned towards me, "Overhaul?"

"What the hell do you want?" Bakugo asked.

"Deku and Todoroki are currently fighting Chrono. We found Y/N. They need your help," I said.

"Why aren't you helping?" Bakugo asked.

"Don't you get it? He needed to be the one to save her since she saved him. He can't fight Chrono if he's trying to get her to safety. Come on," Kirishima said and ran towards Chrono. I ran towards the police station. I ran in and all of the police officers rushed towards me and Y/N. I was a bit overwhelmed by the sudden flood of people.

"Stay back!" I yelled.

"Overhaul," she whispered.

"Stay back," I said to the police officers.

"Overhaul, they're not going to hurt me."

I slowly nodded my head and followed a police officer to a room that was underground.

"Thank you," I said. "Sorry about what happened back there."

"It's no problem. I'm just glad that you got her here safely. We were prepared for anyone to come in with her."

"I made a promise to her," I said and looked down at her. I set her down on a chair and sat across from her. 

"Was it just him that had you?"

"Yes," she said.

"Where are the others? Do you know?"

"He said in prison."

"They must be held up with where All For One is. Which is Tarturus," I said.

"That's a possibility."

I looked over at her and tears streamed down my face, "You don't know how happy I am to see you're ok."
